Shanetelle B.

Tacoma, WA—Every 40 seconds, a child goes missing or is abducted in the U.S. Approximately, 840,000 children are reported missing each year.

While most reports of missing children are resolved, 2-year-old Teekah Lewis has been missing for 25 years. On January 23, 1999 - Teekah Lewis and nearly a dozen of her family members spent the event bowling at The New Frontier Bowling Lanes in Tacoma, Washington. Teekah was a few feet away from her mother playing a race car video game. When it was her mother’s (Theresa) turn to bowl, she glanced over her shoulder to check on Teekah who was quietly playing, but when she turned around mere seconds later, Teekah was nowhere to be found.

Teekah Lewis’ disappearance would set into motion a 25-year fight for justice in finding out what happened to Teekah.

Joining me in this week’s episode is Theresa Czapiewski (Teekah’s mother) as she details the events that happened before Teekah disappeared including new details regarding a suspect description that surfaced decades later and the mishandling of her daughter’s disappearance by Tacoma Police, along with her 25-year fight for answers as to what happened to her 2-year-old daughter.

TIPLINE: Tacoma Police Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS.
