Hey y’all welcome to a brand new podcast with a twist: Hardly DnD. My name is Quinn; I will be your host and DM for this campaign. And I’ll be joined by 3 fantastic players, Anna, Chip, and Kirby, as they make their way through the world of Myndas. This is a fictional world of my design. The players will start out in the country of Nasryn. If you wish to know more of the world or any of the background knowledge there, we’ve made some maps available on our social medias, which are linked in the description below. The twist of this DnD campaign is that all the players will start at level 20 and they will gradually lose levels as they continue playing. The trick is they must figure out how they’re losing levels and why before it’s too late. Here’s a small snippet of our first episode:
The air becomes mixed with the smell of salt and mud. It is miserably hot. As you approach the gate, you see 2 guards. One of the guards, standing on the left, looks at the other one and says something you’re a bit out of earshot. And she turns her back and leaves and goes into the city. As you approach, what do you do?
LT: “Stonefist, I don’t know about you but I would love a very, very strong ale to cool my whistle.”
DS: “Aye, I’ve ‘bout walked out of my knickers. I can feel the puddles in my boots.”
LT: “Feel them? I see them! Please, please! Keep your shoes on—they stink, they reek. Heavens ta betsy!”
DS: “But it’s so hot…”
