Speaker 1:

Would you look at what we got going on in Hard Rock? Folks Praise to you, man. You is tradition, you is family, you is brotherhood, you is hard work. I'm hurt, dawg, don't ask me if I'm alright. Hell, nah, what he said down there and we not doing it.

Speaker 2:

I put my heart in this s*** dawg. Let's go, man.

Speaker 1:

Xavier Restrepo with the Miami touchdown, and it is touchdown. Andre Johnson was all by himself. That's going to be returned by Sean Taylor for a Miami touchdown. We're talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game. We we talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game. We talking about practice. We want to execute better. We want to play winning football, to play winning football. We got to practice winning football. Big time players, step up a big game. Welcome to Category 6, sports Podcast. I'm your host, big Homie, and I'm here with none other. This man don't need no introduction. What's good, chase? Hey, man, bless the highly favored. I can't complain. What's good with?

Speaker 2:

you what's good? Hey, hey, homie, you know what I say. What? Up to the chasers. You know what I'm saying. Up to the chasers, you know what I'm saying. What about the members only? Oh yeah, members only. You already know Members only. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

The leader, you do.

Speaker 2:

You already know the whole game my nigga Dre Dre, all of them.

Speaker 1:

Hey, I feel you on that. I feel you on that. What's good? Can war over under 3,000 yards passing over?

Speaker 2:

easy over at that. You know what I'm saying, cause we got a real, true leader out there. You know what I'm saying. Like he already know the playbook. Everything like he into this, like this way, like that's all eat. Love football, you see the videos, my boy, my boy putting that work in. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 1:

He definitely putting that work in. He definitely putting that work in what you think about the receiver crew, the receiver crop.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, you know I love George Resherpo. You know what I'm saying Beast, 1,000-yard receiver. You know what I'm saying? Horton on to come up. You know what I'm saying? What about Brown? What about Sammy Brown? Sammy Brown, I got to wait to see on him. You know what I'm saying? Because he, coming from Houston, this ain't just going to be some easy place where you can just come in and play. You're going to have to earn your job. You know what I'm saying? Like this ain't sweet.

Speaker 1:

You know who? People forgetting about Arroyo.

Speaker 2:

Arroyo Arroyo. Only reason, because he stay hurt though.

Speaker 1:

What you think about Williams Riley Williams.

Speaker 2:

Riley Williams. I got to see him man.

Speaker 1:

Say you got to see Mo man. I don't think they utilized him right, because when he got in Georgia Tech he scored.

Speaker 2:

He immediately scored, but then I also seen him drop passes. You know what I'm saying. I just got to see him. But then again, he a freshman. Well, he was a freshman.

Speaker 1:

I know he better than Skinner.

Speaker 2:

You know that.

Speaker 1:

Where he at SMU. Damn, where Know that? Where he at SMU.

Speaker 2:

Damn where he at.

Speaker 1:

Nobody know where he at. Where he at. Did he go to Auburn? Did he play?

Speaker 2:

Nah, you know, he just transferred. This year he could have played.

Speaker 1:

Or did he go to?

Speaker 2:

Louisville, Wait where did he go?

Speaker 1:

Skinner was on our team last year, was he? No, you sure, man, that'd be a garbage anyway. Anyway, anyway, okay, so we got. So you say over, can't war. I say under. I say under because I think we're going to run the ball a lot too. Yeah, I think we're going to run the ball a lot too. I think we're going to run the ball with, of course, mark Fletcher Martinez, and then you're going to also have Chris Johnson coming in, jordan Lyle you still got AJ Allen and then Cam Ward going to run the ball too. He ain't just going to sit back there, and he's going to get mobile too. So I think when we get up in a lot of these games this year at least five of these games we're going to run the ball. So I'm just thinking now, if we make the playoffs or whatever, then he could do it. But in the regular season I don't think we're going to pass that much. I'd say about 28. He'll get close, though 28.

Speaker 2:

28-100. 28-hundred, 28-hundred. I think he's selling my boy short. I think he slaying that pill this year, so how?

Speaker 1:

many touchdowns.

Speaker 2:

I'd say about 32.

Speaker 1:

By your head, can't worry, not for the don't know 32 touchdowns. He's not going to do that. I got him right about 28 max, 25 low interceptions. He going to run a lot of touchdowns this season. I think he'll at least run six, seven, eight touchdowns, just like he did at Washington State last year. And how you got back up. I don't see 32, though I don't think 32. I don't see 32, though I don't think 32. I don't think 32. I don't think 32.

Speaker 2:

I think now, if you make the playoff because you got to think about it we're going to play more games than last year. You got to think about it. We're trying to go to the ACC title and if we go into the ACC title, and if we go into the ACC title and we win that bid where we going.

Speaker 1:

I think you can have 1,000-yard, 800-yard, 900-yard back. I think we're going to do a lot of running. I can see that I don't think they're going to force us.

Speaker 2:

Matter of fact, what was our rushing yards last year? We did a lot of running last year, I think like 2300, 2200 right now we were talking about over 2 000 yard rushing, but the stats was inflated. Why you say that?

Speaker 1:

that's was inflated because all your running backs averaging five yards to carry but none of them breaking long runs, like I think our longest run last year was 48 yards, 50-something yards, Louisville game, Mark Fletcher, that was the longest rush and he didn't even score that. I saw the Clemson rush when we had to put a receiver at running back. We didn't have no long runs. The longest run was Mark Fletcher and he didn't even score. So this year when we get in the open field, we need to be. That's why I think Chris Johnson he going to have to, they going to have to put him in the game.

Speaker 2:

We need a game changer like that, chris Johnson, yeah, yeah, I mean, I feel like his skill set. We got to use him like more than just running that ball. We got to throw it to him. We got to get him at least 10 touches a game. If you want to use him when he's right there, we should get him at least 10 of them.

Speaker 1:

He definitely be playing kickoff too.

Speaker 2:

That's what I'm talking about. I even put him on punt return.

Speaker 1:

He can't be. You know what I'm saying? We can't have, you can't have more designer than plays made on the team. No more. We banning that. Yeah, we banning that. If you out there and you got more change than you got tackles and more designer clothes than you got snaps, it's a problem, all that's for the change and Mario definitely going to make the change 100%. But yeah, man, what you think about the conference, change which one you want to go to the Big 10, big 12, or SEC.

Speaker 2:

Really I'm going to say SEC just off the strength there I feel like they care about football and the way we spending money. I feel like we can fit that. Like I feel like we ready for the big leagues, we playing with the big boys now. Like I really feel like we on that, like I really do.

Speaker 1:

Like look how we recruit, Let me know when you're done Go ahead. Ain't no way. No, not SEC bro. I'm going to tell you why the SEC.

Speaker 2:

Hold on. Why? Why? You say that you will have to stack by your head, bitch Like boy. You got me messed up, boy. It's our time you feel me? We going to be in the SEC. Man, get your ass back up here, man. What's got going on? Man, you know what I'm saying. You got to be messed up, homie.

Speaker 1:

Bro, you ain't going to listen to me. You ain't going to be in the SEC. Listen, sec to me right now is just a no-go. I would rather go to the Big 12, big 10. Why that? I think it's a better fit anyway. Now you're going to SEC. You could believe it or not, you could be at the top when you first get in there, but then you could also be a middle-tier team, low-tier in no time. For instance, look at Florida, look at all those SEC championships they went to. Now look at them. Or you could be like A&M, you saying look how we recruiting, look how they recruit, but look where they at. It's a lot of teams do that. You know what I'm saying. You can recruit all day, get the players, but if it don't pan out and that's a problem with a lot of SEC schools they get them good recruiting class, they get all them five stars and do nothing. I don't want to go to the SEC. I think that's just a sexy trap.

Speaker 2:

A sexy trap.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, too much. Not the SEC fam. I would go Big 12.

Speaker 2:

Now you got to explain that Big 12. Oh yeah. You know, they ain't going to be rocking with you. Homie, explain that Big 12.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, you get over there, you know Bad Bass, they ain't going to be rocking with you, homie who Big 12.

Speaker 2:

You know these niggas don't want to go to no damn Big 12.

Speaker 1:

Hey, that's fine, they going to be there Because, guess what? You get over there, nobody can beat you and you win some championships. I'm in the business of winning Now the Big Ten. It'll be a little challenges, of course, with Ohio State, michigan and Oregon, other than that Penn State, but if you get in the SEC, that's every week. You got Texas, oklahoma, florida's still going to play Utah because it's a rival Tennessee, ole Miss, alabama, georgia.

Speaker 2:

But that's what. I'm getting into I feel like we're getting into that NFL-style type of college football. It's going to be like the NFL.

Speaker 1:

I think, in order for us to just go to the SEC, I think you got to have, you at least got to get Mario Cristobal five years going into his sixth year or something like that, not today Because you want injury away.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I hear you, but I feel like, look, hear you, but I feel like, look at it. I'm trying to tell you it's heading to more of this NFL, like every game down there like an NFL game, like the best playing on best. That's what they're trying to treat it like. Yeah, matter of fact, look at the big teams in the Big Ten too. They've been doing that. But I'm talking about now is more on some, yeah, like, look at all the teams, like these super conferences, why you think everybody trying to get in the Big Ten and SEC Because they don't want to. You know what I'm saying you don't want to be left behind.

Speaker 1:

Listen, if we going to Big 12 right now, we wouldn't be left behind.

Speaker 2:

Why you say that.

Speaker 1:

Because we got the brand.

Speaker 2:

I mean yeah, I mean Nah, nah, I don't think we'll be left behind, but you know, other teams ain't got it like us either.

Speaker 1:

Now, that's what I'm trying to tell you. You know what I'm saying. So why don't you just go to the Big 12, dominate there, get in the playoffs every year, compete for a championship?

Speaker 2:

Self-explanatory. I hear you, but you want to know something. Homie, I've been meaning to get this off my chest. Go ahead. I don't like the way you've been talking about my dog, dawson, like that man, dawson, who Shannon Dawson?

Speaker 1:

Yeah Well, first and foremost, first and foremost, bye. Yeah, okay, I'm going to talk about Shannon Dawson how I want to, because Shannon Dawson let me down last year. He had a plethora of opportunities to win games, make better play calls. He stayed finella, he didn't go in motion. He didn't do anything creative. Every time he did something creative, he scored touchdowns. When he put Rashard Smith anywhere, when he put him at receiver, he did his thing. When he put him at running back, he did it. Anytime he get creative. Anytime he get creative. Anytime he get creative, he win. But anytime he get creative, he win. But he didn't get creative enough for me. Last year he didn't get creative at all. So Shannon Dawson is who he is until he proved me otherwise.

Speaker 2:

But we were so ass last year and we went up. We went up offensively Stats are inflated.

Speaker 1:

Here we go. The numbers are inflated because, listen to me, you trying to tell me okay, you went to what? Top 30 defense, something like that, top 30 offense, something like that, yeah, but you're 75. You scored six points against NC State, Uh-huh. You only scored 20 against Georgia Tech and Florida State. Uh-huh. How many did you score against Florida State? I think it was like I can't.

Speaker 2:

I think it was 20., yeah, 20.

Speaker 1:

Then you score what North Carolina you scored in the 30s, but you lost yeah that was an ugly hell, though. Come on, man, Then you play against Virginia. You're struggling. That was an ugly win.

Speaker 2:

Hey, you ever had a win that it just felt like a loss.

Speaker 1:

Come on man, that Virginia game. That wasn't nothing to showcase.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that wasn't nothing.

Speaker 1:

I think his best game last year was boston college and a and m yeah, outside of that he didn't. It was yeah, we'll make a few plays, yeah, yeah, yeah, but it wasn't no. You feel what I'm saying. It wasn't no, nothing to scream about. He put it on, he put it on, he ain't put it on. He got to do better Period.

Speaker 2:

He got to do better, so when he do better you know we're going to have this conversation later, man I hope he do do better.

Speaker 1:

I'm praying he do better. I hope I'm wrong, but right now he on the hot seat he, the coach that's on the hot seat, for sure Hands down. This ain't even a thinking process. He is the coach on the hot seat. On the staff.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I hear you, so you know. We got Duke coming to town this year. What you think of that man in return? How you feeling about that? How you feeling about that.

Speaker 2:

Hey, belt the ass. That's how I feel we knocking that lips out as well.

Speaker 1:

I don't think he's a good head coach. I think he's a good. He was a coordinator, but head coach. Hey Wait, the talent he got there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he got to show me.

Speaker 1:

They got a quarterback from Texas, though within the earth, yeah.

Speaker 2:

But man I still don't see it. I don't see it.

Speaker 1:

I don't give a damn what they schedule us on. So give me your top five teams in the ACC, then Top five teams in the ACC, without saying the Hurricanes Just start at two, because I know we won.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, okay, I got you, I got you. I'm going to say got to put Florida State, okay, trying to think Clemson. I mean I hear Clemson, yeah, clemson, you can't just go wrong with it, they've been here. So Florida State, clemson, I say where we at, we got two more after that. Florida State Clemson. I'm going to say Virginia Tech, okay, okay, and that last one I'm going to go NC State, nc State, yeah.

Speaker 1:

No Louis State, yeah, no Louisville, welcome, I say no Louisville. So okay, you got that top five. Who do you think will be playing us in the ACC championship? I like Clemson. I like Clemson. I think Clemson will win game this whole year to Notre Dame, I'm going to say Georgia.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm going to get cute by Georgia week one and then don't lose again. They may lose to Notre Dame, but at the end of the day they can lose Notre Dame. I'd like them to beat Florida State. Yeah, 10 lose Notre Dame, they're still going to make it.

Speaker 2:

I'd like them to beat Florida State. Yeah, 10-2 at Georgia. State. They played them at home or in town. I think they played.

Speaker 1:

Georgia.

Speaker 2:

No, I'm talking about Clemson and Florida State.

Speaker 1:

Oh, they played them in Tallahassee, it's not going to matter, I still got them winning, I still got them winning. I them winning, I still got them winning. I don't think Florida State got nothing to compete. I think Florida State actually is not a top five team in the ACC.

Speaker 2:

Wait, what's your top five?

Speaker 1:

Miami, clemson, nc State, virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. And.

Speaker 2:

Georgia Tech. I want my revenge on them.

Speaker 1:

I don't give a damn yeah, yeah, yeah, we're going to get that, we're going to get that, but I think they're going to be, I think they're going to be like fifth and you may get I don't know about Louisville, we'll see but the rest of them, teams like Wake, virginia, smu, nah, stanford and Kyle, they don't got a chance they don't got a chance.

Speaker 2:

Smu schedule, wasn't that? Ain't that bitch weak as hell yeah it's weak I know that bitch weak as hell. Kyle remember something like like they don't play. No, yeah, yeah, like who? Like bro, these niggas play. These niggas play Nevada ACU. Smu schedule yes, they play some team called HCU. Never heard of. Yeah, byu TCU, florida State, louisville, stanford, duke, pittsburgh, boston College, virginia, california.

Speaker 1:

They could easily win eight games Easily. Yeah, I think they'd be straight. But you know they got them on upset alert for Florida State SMU. They got SMU on an upset alert already Against Florida.

Speaker 2:

State.

Speaker 1:

I can see that happening. Who do Florida State got?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Who do?

Speaker 2:

Florida State got. I'm trying to think. You know what I'm saying, don't they got big productions.

Speaker 1:

No production. That's a story for another day. What about what you thinking about the D-line, though, with all the transfer coming in?

Speaker 2:

D-line. I mean I feel like we definitely got much needed help. I like the kid from NC State, the big dude, marley Cook. I'm hearing great things about him. You know what I'm saying. You got Blunt and Scott. Come on, man. You got Blunt to play this year. Nah, not Blunt. Blunt too young, but I see him getting bigger though. I just feel like that's like much needed. Like you know, when the scout team practicing, he'll give them a good look. You know what I'm saying? Like team practicing, get a whole line of good by your head.

Speaker 1:

Uh 50, listen blunt, and I don't think that'll be a good look. No time soon. I think he'll still learn the game. He should be seeing this shit in high school, I think, if he get out there a lot this year.

Speaker 2:

Bow your head. What the hell, nigga?

Speaker 1:

I just said the nigga ain't gonna play what you got going on this nigga here, man Boy, I tell you, man, no, I ain't saying that, I'm saying you saying you saying he going to give him a good look. I don't think that's going to be. I think it's people in front of him already. I don't think. I think Blunt still need to get his feet under him and keep grinding Next year. I think he could be possibly starting next year.

Speaker 2:

Nigga did you just say what I said about Smarter.

Speaker 1:

Mm-mm. You said he's going to be giving him good looks. It's like this no, all right man, it's nigga, hell man. I don't think you're gonna get him too much of a good look like that off. Rip what you think about the hcc media, that you think the? Uh right, three people went.

Speaker 2:

oh, hell yeah okay, yeah, you, you see. You see Now, hey, you know I got Bragg on count Ward. You know what I'm saying. You see, he a leader man. All he talk about man, talk about stop playing hero ball, taking his check downs, being more smarter, like just all around. And he know he got to win. You know what I mean? Like you want to know one thing I love that he said what's that Is that he ain't overlooking no team. We need that man. What about Rivers Rivers? I mean, I saw him. He was talking about what he was talking about man we're talking about. Oh no, last thing I remember Rick was begging this man please win games, because you're tired of paying bitches. That's what Rick was talking about, man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he tried to win the bet. Oh, you're talking about Kiko. Yeah, Kiko up there.

Speaker 1:

He was talking about playing with his brother and why he came back. I'm so happy he came back because that's the first team on ACC linebacker, yeah, and he can get after that quarterback and he can cover.

Speaker 2:

I'm glad you said that, because that's what he talked about. He said he loved Blitz. That's one of his specials and I like that.

Speaker 1:

So you got Keiko because you know we running a 4-2-5. Right, who's your other linebacker?

Speaker 2:

My other linebacker. We got Kiko. Should I say it Should?

Speaker 1:

I say it Be my guest.

Speaker 2:

We'll actually be saying it. Shall I say it Be my guest Wesley B Saint. Be my guest, Wesley B Saint man, Damn man.

Speaker 1:

How you feeling about Wesley B Saint this year.

Speaker 2:

Please play better though. Like, please, Like, damn this nigga like killing me, killing me like he can't guard a soul. Like what's up with that nigga? Like bro, I need that man to step up.

Speaker 1:

man for real listen, man, I think buddy could be top three rounds. I think, uh, he need to be first team all acc this year. I think he need to have a year that I keep saying I think I done said this on every episode, bro Just first team, all ACC, you can go from there. I like him. Spring though he look real good. Spring though, yeah, yeah, I like this.

Speaker 2:

All that, but, hey man, they put you on the tight end, hey man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you can't keep coming down.

Speaker 2:

and third down hey niggas licking their fingers like they have some slap sauce. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, matter of fact, shout out to Coach Ferg and that slap sauce.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, hey, but uh, db, this is bad. Hold on, all right 50. So this is bad, alright 50. So tell me what you think top 3 priorities for Mario Cristobal to get done this year with the team oh, definitely 10 plus wins man.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying? Acc title game yeah. Acc championship okay. You know what I'm saying? Acc title game, yeah.

Speaker 1:

ACC championship. Okay, that's a good three. That's a good three. How you feeling about the running back coach? First year South Florida, they had some good running backs. Last year he got a good track record.

Speaker 2:

How you feeling about him. I like the Pringle kid he bringing in. Okay, I love him too, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I love the speedingle kid he bringing in.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I love him too. Yeah, I love the speed. You know what I'm saying. We need that and I like that we prioritize in speed. That's another thing Crystal Ball has did.

Speaker 1:

He has recruited a lot of speed at every damn position and feel like damn now, yeah, yeah, yeah, linebacker coach Nick, I love him. I love him to death.

Speaker 2:

I know you do. I love him to death. I remember one night in the space, certain someone was in there. You know what I'm saying. Oh yeah, we didn't call him in we didn't call him live certain someone was in there.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, he didn't visit. We didn't call him in. Yeah, we didn't call him live. We didn't call Dick Nick Shout out to Coach. Yeah, okay, db Coach, he raising hell right now. Oh yeah, oh yeah, he raising complete hell. A die can never yeah a die. A A die can never, yeah a die, a die. Thank you for leaving. A die could die. You know they got two safeties two corners yeah, ben Hakes right there, yeah Well, three corners, they got a kid from Alabama. Yeah, yeah, three corners. Five DBs in total. Ain't coached the game yet for Miami.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, imagine what he's going to do.

Speaker 1:

How much of a stretch from a die to him over just the quick process of a die leaving and getting a better recruiter. How far of a landslide do you think it is?

Speaker 2:

Oh no, it's a big landslide. It's like Russia big landslide. It's big man. You feel me? It's a big bitch, you feel me.

Speaker 1:

Hey, okay. Nah, you got Coach Salaveaa d-line. How much pressure?

Speaker 2:

is he under this shit because he got a great d-line. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you want to know one thing, what's that? You're actually a pretty good coach, like like the D-line. How can I put this? Well, no, you can't really put Bane on him because that's Taylor, yeah, so.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying to think Ain't nobody really run that rock on us like that last?

Speaker 2:

year.

Speaker 1:

You know, rock, north Carolina, louisville, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Outside of that.

Speaker 2:

Outside of that. Outside of that, yeah, nah, texas A&M couldn't do that. Nah, from what I've seen, and it's first year, the D-line was doing their game to your boy Big Productions, but that's another story. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. But yeah, nah, he's not like a great coach. But he's not like a great coach, but he's not. I'd say he's a good, decent coach.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. O-line coach Marabal.

Speaker 2:

Oh, now that's the guy. Like Marabal, like that. That's the guy.

Speaker 1:

Nine days from first to second, you know. Hey, hey, that midget can coach that midget can coach that midget, can coach boy how you feeling about? How you feeling about tight end coach? Tight end didn't get involved at all last year, except for blocking yeah.

Speaker 2:

I mean he all right. It's like they removed what's the boy's name that was the coach in it Fields, right?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Fields.

Speaker 2:

What's my guy's name? I think he's from. I forgot his name.

Speaker 1:

He ain't raised no hell. Last year them tight ends ain't did nothing. They do nothing. Mccormick y'all he did. Last year he did some good blocking, but boy he can't kiss for nothing. Mccormick y'all he did. Last year. He did some good blocking, but boy he can't catch for nothing. Mccormick about to get Social Security man. Yeah, you know, they put out a list today. He the oldest player in the country.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man.

Speaker 1:

He the oldest.

Speaker 2:

All I can say is man, yeah, nigga.

Speaker 1:

I think him and Cam rising the oldest, something like that oh, yeah, cam rising yeah, he is a junior this year. I don't know, but he a junior. Yeah, these super seniors man that COVID that. Covid, that COVID makes the game and then the medical red shirts crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy.

Speaker 2:

I'm glad we got Ken Ward when we did, because NCAA was trying to pay us. You seen what they did to him. Told that boy he couldn't come back. Baby to him.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't even think he got drafted. I don't know where he at. Oh nah, I'm so happy. I'm happy he didn't come to our team. I'm happy we got who we got in Cam Ward. Oh yeah, cam Ward spring, though, went out there and checked my spring, so how? Do you feel about the backup quarterbacks?

Speaker 1:

Possenberger and Emory Williams, boy, yeah, woo-wee oh boy, can't worry, you are in my prayers because, boy, another transfer quarterback next year. Oh yeah, who your top quarterback is out there? I know you were saying somebody can't work, or early last year.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So how do you feel about next year?

Speaker 2:

Next year. I'm looking, I'm looking. I got my eye on a few. I'm looking at USF quarterback. I'm looking at Virginia Tech quarterback. You know, sancaro Jones, I'm looking them two on my list. I'm trying to think I feel like I'm saying Kyle Jones, like I'm looking Like them two on my list. I'm trying to think I feel like I'm forgetting somebody.

Speaker 1:

What about DJ Lagway?

Speaker 2:

You know what you might be on the something? Because Billy has his on the hot seat and he get fired. Hey boy, I think the murder rate will go up if that boy transferred from Florida.

Speaker 1:

I really it won't go up because they already did. But anyway, first game, florida. Yeah, we're going in a hostile environment, right? I think, personally, it'll be close the first two games. I'm going to say first two quarters. The third quarter, I think we come out at the halftime. Be settled down, whatever. Make the proper adjustments take off. I got the score 31-17. 31-17.

Speaker 2:

Hey, man, we seeing how it is now. I'm thinking the same thing. I'm thinking like, yeah, they come out, give us a fight first two quarters, then we just pull away. I feel like it's a Martinez and Fletcher day.

Speaker 1:

I think they got enough depth. I think they got the bodies, but it's not quality. I'm learning last night, boom, he didn't even he was a black jersey. The whole spring non-contact. I'm hearing about Searcy he had one and a half sacks. I'm hearing about it's just so many people they name it on their D-line, they line back. I like Shamar James Pup Howard, coming from South Carolina. What did he do? Somebody? They just you know they got because they wanted him out of high school. I don't think it's really. No, he's not a game changer. Secondary they got Marshall back there. He's a liability Moore always hurt. He a liability Castile. I think he's solid, but I don't see him. He's not a good tackler in the open field all the time, but he was a freshman in All-American so he did a pretty good job. He could get better. Then you got, I think, another safety from Washington.

Speaker 2:

I don't even know who that bozo was. You got.

Speaker 1:

Kermani out there.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I heard. Hey, I heard Gator fans saying that's baby Richard Sherman now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they're delusional for saying that. What about what you think about their offense? I don't think their offense is lying. How do you feel about their offense? I don't think their offense is lying nothing.

Speaker 2:

I'm not a believer in their defensive coordinator. I don't think their all-line just got better out of the blue. They got to show me and I don't see it. I don't think their O-line just got better out of the blue. They got to show me and I don't see it. I don't see it at all. Now, the only thing I give them is that they were so bad last year. There's only nowhere to go but up defensively for them. You know what I'm saying, and that's for their O-line too. But is it going to be enough to beat us? Hell no.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I got 31-17. I think Montrell will come out there. He'll have a few good runs in the first half and then it'll just.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he gotta have a crazy money.

Speaker 1:

That's gonna beat us, I think he is the key to them beating us, because I don't see Mert going vertical. Montrell Johnson, if he don't go crazy for over 200 and something yards, which you know, that's not going to happen they don't have a chance. I got a 31-17 Miami.

Speaker 2:

Wait, hold on. You ain't named one of their best receivers. You ain't talking about Eugene.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you're talking about the Eugene Wilson. That never went over 100 yards. Yeah, next topic. So we got bigger figures. Let's go to schedule. Let's go to schedule. You got Florida. You got Florida A&M. Oh, yeah, you know Cupcake Ball. Know, cupcake Ball State Cupcake. Yeah, south Florida, I don't think Cupcake, yeah, cupcake. But I think they try to. They got we're going to see their heart beating, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think they'll try.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're going to try.

Speaker 1:

Then you got. What Then you got? No, you got.

Speaker 2:

Virginia Tech.

Speaker 1:

At the USL.

Speaker 2:

I think you got Virginia Tech that Friday. Damn, I know we do play them on a Friday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so you got Virginia Tech like that. I think Virginia Tech will be a tough game. I think that's a game I'm going to have to get down there and go to and see live in person. I'm going to let everybody know right now that's listening tuning in. My last game last year was Georgia Tech. I sat there and seen how that ended and that was my last game. But I think that Virginia Tech game I think that's the redeemed game. I think we should wear all black that game.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay, yeah, you're right, we got Virginia Tech, then after them we got Cal.

Speaker 1:

You got to buy them, you got Cal.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Or do you got to buy after Cal?

Speaker 2:

Let me see, I think you got to buy after Cal. Let me see, I think you got to buy after Cal.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay good, because yeah, yeah, yeah, we're going to Louisville, then we play Florida State. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

After that we get to fight Manny Diaz.

Speaker 1:

Then who have to do? Wait for it, then after.

Speaker 2:

Tech wait for it, Then after Tech wait for it, Then Syracuse, Larry Kane.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's a pretty favorable schedule. I can't keep you know, nailing on that because we, I just think if you get past Florida, you beat Virginia Tech, you go to Cal, handle your business. This is all about handling your business this year, Not looking over nobody dominating, seeing a physical team, consistent team, not a team that's going out there going to be flat. I think the sky's the ceiling, the sky's the limit.

Speaker 2:

What it is, homie.

Speaker 1:

Sky's the limit partner.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no, what you said.

Speaker 1:

You heard what I said?

Speaker 1:

No, what you said, though, goddamn hit me, goddamn hit me, the sky's the limit and I don't see anybody beating us if we come out there and we're capable of doing what we're supposed to be doing and just not going out there flat. Like I say, being consistent, being a physical team, good play calling, good coaching management, If we do that, I see us in the playoffs. Now, when we get in the playoffs see, this is what people are not thinking. When you get in the playoff 50, this is what is going to happen. Everybody got to elevate. See, people think about the players and the players getting hurt and the adjustments, coaching must come into play.

Speaker 1:

How confident are you in Shannon Dawson in the college football playoffs?

Speaker 2:

Oh, with Ken Ward, yeah, real confident. Oh yeah, oh yeah, Now with TBD, I couldn't have that confidence.

Speaker 1:

Oh, we ain't going to talk about TBD about yet. We ain't going to talk about Tyler Van Dyke tonight. Tyler Van Dyke is no longer with us. We wish him the best at Wisconsin, but no, we ain't going to talk about Tyler Van Dyke. Waste of our time, waste of our energy good energy, because it wasn't nothing good to come out of that I got my.

Speaker 1:

That's how I'm feeling so you think ken ward can lead us? Oh hell yeah natty hey man natty no, no, no, no, no, no. You're not getting off this Natty. Hey, man, I think. Okay, this is my recipe to get to the national championship, right? Uh-huh Defense five.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Lance Gidget, a lot of three and outs and a lot of turnovers. Get in Virginia Tech game. Okay, this is what you do for me. Florida game you dominate them. You dominate Virginia Tech. You go to Louisville, raise hell and Florida State game. Beat them, even if you don't build them out, just beat them steadily, so they'll be leaving midway through the fourth. You do that. If you dominate them four games, now you got something on your hands. You get to the ACC Championship game.

Speaker 1:

I think you're going to play Clemson. In my opinion, you blow Clemson out, or blow whoever out, or just win steadily. It was like, okay, they won that game by double digits, 17-10, 17 points. Now you're in the playoffs. Now I see Oregon, ohio State, maybe Georgia, teams like that, you know, I think the Utah or maybe Oklahoma State out in the Big 12, something like that. I think you could beat all them teams if you're dominant against who you're playing, because people be like oh, y'all can't beat Ohio State and this and that that I think you could beat all them teams if you're dominant against who you're playing, Because people be like oh, y'all can't beat Ohio State and this, and that I don't think Will Howard is going to.

Speaker 1:

No, not against our defense.

Speaker 2:

You don't scare nobody yeah that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

I think you can beat. I think you can beat Ohio State off real. All you got to do is start their run game, jeremiah, shout out to the kid. But nah, no one man going to beat us. Ask Evan Stewart. We had him running backwards. Yeah, oregon I don't think they're going to be able to handle our receivers because they keep talking about all the offensive players they get. I don't see it on defense. I think we can have it our way on their defense. And then they got Dylan Gabriel. He'll play good, but you know he can fold at any moment. Michigan not going to be all that this year. I'm just saying teams that could make the playoffs. Florida State they're going 8-4. Don't got to worry about them. Clemson may be in now.

Speaker 2:

You said Florida State going 8-4?.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I definitely got them going 8-4. I got to allude to us Clemson. Some of you can upset them. I think. I honestly think they could lose to Florida at the end of the year. And the reason I say that is if Florida let's just say hypothetically, florida, you know they're going to make it to the end of the year, whatever it is, I think they could upset them because I think Florida has a better roster than Florida State.

Speaker 1:

I think the only thing Florida State got better is the defensive ends. Florida State may have a better D-line, but not a D-line core. I think that D-line meaning they got three players like Farmer Patriot and the dude that coming from Georgia I can't think his name right now, the D-'s coming from Georgia, I can't think of his name right now the D-end coming from Georgia. I think those two could dominate Florida D-line. But outside of them, three players I don't think they have. They don't have a better running back, definitely, don't have a better quarterback, don't have a better receiver court, don't have better tight ends. O-line, I get out of scratch. I think they equal. Florida got better linebackers, definitely better linebackers and definitely better DBs. So I think if you look at it and really not go off. What Florida State then did the last two years? If you want to be fair and honest and straight down the middle, I think Florida got a better team overall than them and they have way better depth. Mm-hmm, I don't, I don't, I don't have, I'm not high on Florida State. I think eight and four. I think eight and four. I can't see Florida beating them. I can see see Florida beating them. I can see that Because you got to think, even though Florida hasn't been all that the last two years, they've been in dogfights with Florida State. I think this is their year to get over that hump. This is definitely their year. And they don't have Jordan Travis out there, so they got DJ who. You know how that can end up. Oh man, I don up florida state making it. Maybe alabama. Okay, we get in the game with alabama. You, you gotta stop milroy from running, contain him. I don't think that defense is gonna be what it was in the past. I think we can score on them. Like, as long as we can score, I think we can be in the game with anybody and I think our defense at the end of the day match up well with anybody offense.

Speaker 1:

So if you get in the playoffs, it's a torn call Because you can't say right now, like last year, you could say, okay, georgia going to the natty or to the playoffs. You really can't say who going to the playoffs this year, like you could say last year, like, okay, we know Michigan or Ohio. So I'm like you can't really even say who going to, you can't really say who going to go to. You can't name 12 teams right now. You can't. I don't think nobody can just name all 12 teams that's going to be in the playoffs. Oh, no, not at the top of their head, because you got to think it was four. Well, you can name them, but you're going to be like Everybody will think, okay, georgia, ohio State, both of them don't make it. And they're like, okay, florida State, 13-0. They don't make it. So then you got Michigan, alabama. That's crazy. And who, texas? That's what 14's in? Last year At the beginning of the season, ain't nobody just. And so Texas beat Alabama, wasn't nobody saying, oh, texas is going to make the playoffs.

Speaker 1:

You know, what I'm saying. It changed like that. So I'm just thinking if you get in the playoffs this year, you got a shot, bro. I don't know thinking if you get in the playoffs this year, you got a shot, bro. I don't know who going to win in that this year. I don't think there's no dominant team out there like that this year. I think this is for the taking this year, for anybody, hey.

Speaker 2:

Homie. All I can say is you right, man, cause I'm trying to think. I'm trying to really think like this 12 team is just a whole different ball game, like yeah, like it's just something that, yeah, we never had before like this. And I'm kinda I was kinda surprised when they did 12, cause I'm thinking, oh, they probably gonna do like 8 teams or something like that, but they, for the whole gusto, had before like this. I was kind of surprised when they did 12, because I'm thinking, oh, they're probably going to do eight teams or something like that. They went for the whole gusto and just put 12. I feel like we got to kind of hockey, get in that bitch. We definitely got to make that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because we can't let this opportunity pass. Get in there this year, okay, yeah. Let's say you get in there this year, okay, yeah, let's say you get in there this year, you don't make it next year, right. But then you know what I'm saying the sky's the limit the year after that. But I think you've got to get in there. If you don't get in there this year, it's going to be a big, big, big, big, big problem, because you've got way too much talent to not get in the playoffs, at least in the playoffs. Did the preseason rankings come out yet? It got to be coming out soon. Yeah, I think they did come out. What we ranked? I think I seen 12. But I be seeing rankings but I don't be knowing if they be accurate. You know what I'm saying. I'm about to look at it right now, preseason, because I don't be you know, yeah, preseason rankings.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we about to see what's going on, because I know we were ranked in that man. I know that for a fact Because we got to be, because, hell, we going all in. You feel what I'm saying? I see a New York Times one, but nah, I don't trust them.

Speaker 1:

Because they be. I think I seen 12 and Florida State were 13. Of course, Florida weren't ranked.

Speaker 2:

They in a more approving year than us. Who that Blazer Park Florida?

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think if Billy Napier don't get it done, this shit I don't know what they're going to do, because if you fire him it's like okay, we starting over. I think Lagway out of there. I know Eugene Wilson out of there. Oh man, King Jackson, Andy Jean, I seen you already seen. He got his number too. What number they gave him.

Speaker 2:

Who that? Andy Jean, andy Jean. Oh, I don't know what number he got the number number six too I know badger got that number.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, um man, I think the whole well, well, I don't think a lot too many people stay. I think the next coach got to be a great hire for them. I was talking to Luke the other day. He was hollering about Deion. I think they got to go that route. They got to go that route If Deion can win seven games or eight games this year they got to go that route because if Deion come in, you got to keep players on your team.

Speaker 1:

You can't just fire Billy. He didn't run out. You got to bring in the coach that's going to make the players stay. I think Lane Kiffin, deion Sanders, you got to get a highlight. Them kids tired of you know.

Speaker 2:

Lane Kiffin the floor.

Speaker 1:

I wouldn't want it to happen either. But you know, lane Kiffin to Florida, I wouldn't want it to happen either but you know Well, we're going to be there anyway.

Speaker 2:

He got to come to Miami that next year.

Speaker 1:

I see oh, that's another thing I want to talk about. How do you feel about the fan attendance once we start winning? Oh man, I'm right with about how you feel about the fan attendance once we start winning? Oh yeah, I'm right with it, because you know, imagine us with home field advantage.

Speaker 2:

Oh, Okay, okay, okay. You had it through me. All you talking about in the playoffs.

Speaker 1:

In the playoffs. Home game regular season. Oh, come on the playoffs. That's going to be.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's going to be a movie. Yeah, big time movie. I wonder how the Chases feel about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's another thing. A lot of people y'all need to start what you're doing. Come to a few games. This year. Come to a few games, definitely. Yeah, come to a few games. Definitely that Virginia Tech that Friday game. I think that game could be.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, that Virginia Tech game. Oh yeah, I think that's going to be one of the ones, because you know they're going to come in with something to prove too. You know how Virginia Tech is. But I feel like we ain't taking nobody light this year, like I really feel like the team gonna take on the leader of the team, like ken ward chris, that tough-minded stuff.

Speaker 1:

yeah, we on that type of time, what you think about okay, you get all this done, you get to the playoffs, you come up short offseason next year. Right, how are you going to the next year offseason being humble and, just you know, level-minded to keep them in championship form, like what you think they need to do?

Speaker 2:

Oh, they definitely need to. I don't know. I feel like they just need to. Like I keep listening to Mario like that ready for work, always working, like any interview you see them talking about, you always hear the word work, work. Like yeah, we just ready to get to work, all that work. So I feel they just need to keep that mindset, just keep working Like for real, like that's what they need to do. And I feel like you keep bringing and that's another thing, he recruiting guys that want to work. You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2:

Like I feel like they just have that characteristic, like I ain't saying like everybody just want to work because, hey, that's why a lot of them hitting that portal. I asked my boy, homie, you would say the greyhound and all that. You know what I'm saying. But yeah, like, for the most part, when they buy in, they be ready to work. They be putting them hours in. You know what I'm saying. You know we be hearing a lot about them, boys. Like, oh, they doing this, they doing that. You know what I'm saying. Oh, they doing this, they doing that. You know what I'm saying. Like, oh, they doing catches. You know what I'm saying? Catching balls, all that stuff. You know what I'm saying. So, yeah, I really feel like to stay level-headed and be working. Like that's where we need to be at and I really feel like we need to keep this mindset of don't take no team lightly, because another thing is every team we play treat us like the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's my thing, but we don't treat nobody like the Super Bowl. Yeah, florida State, florida, yeah, you know, if it ain't our rivalry, we're not treating it like a Super Bowl. I think we should go out there and treat FAMU, ball State, university of South Florida, and have a Super Bowl, because them is really supposed to be stat games. Yeah, get the stats up. Let the younger players play, get their four games or three games or whatever.

Speaker 2:

That's the problem. Right there they be thinking like how the fans be thinking stat game. You shouldn't be thinking like us. You should be thinking like I fans be thinking stat game. You shouldn't be thinking like us. You should be thinking like I got something to prove. You know what I'm saying. You shouldn't be thinking stat games. You shouldn't be coming out there like I'm finna buzz heads. You know what I'm saying. Like go out there. Like make up something in your head like how Georgia be having they players.

Speaker 1:

Like they be believing. I don't know what curvature they have, yeah, but hey, I don't know what he did it be working, though, don't it Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

So that's where I'm at with it. I want us to be on that type of time. Yeah, we ain't taking nobody lightly.

Speaker 1:

I think we get over that hump this year, though for sure yeah.

Speaker 2:

I do too. Yeah, this is our year. You know what I'm saying. For sure, and we bringing the chasers with us. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, Definitely bringing the chasers with us. Shout out to all the chasers. Shout out to members only. Yeah. Shout out to my boy Omari, raps, juju, hot Boy J. Yeah, who else we got in there? Dre, yeah, dango. Oh Sadie Mack. Oh yeah, what's my boy name. What's my boy from Osceola name? Oh, flaco, flaco, oh, and shout out my boy. I'm saying Geechee. Oh, I forgot Geechee. Now we forgetting somebody. Oh Tremie, oh, my God, thank God, we forget him.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to shout him out earlier today. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

Shout out to everybody that's supporting us. We appreciate y'all for tuning in. This is my new co-host 50. He's going to be with me. We're going to be rocking out.
