Is Gavin Newsom turning California into a dystopian nightmare? On this episode of Just a Bunch of Donkeys, we pull no punches as we award the "Donkey of the Day" to Governor Newsom, dissecting the catastrophic effects of his policies on crime, homelessness, and overall governance. As a Californian myself, I lay out my frustrations and fears about his potential presidential ambitions, highlighting why his current performance leaves much to be desired. We also unpack the broader political chaos, from the fiery Trump-Biden debate to the media circus that followed, and the shocking delayed response from President Biden to a grave threat against Trump.

In another chapter, we tackle Newsom's ambitious yet flawed electric car initiative, spotlighting the glaring infrastructural gaps that make a swift transition to EVs impractical. Figures like Elon Musk may be pushing the envelope, but is California really ready? We critique Newsom's mishandling of crime and law enforcement, revealing the stark reality of rising crime rates and growing law enforcement dissatisfaction. Plus, we question the credibility of Newsom's economic claims and juxtapose his leadership with Donald Trump's resilience and continued influence in public discourse. Join us as we call for genuine leadership in these turbulent times.

Speaker 1:

Hey everyone, welcome to the second episode of our podcast Just a Bunch of Donkeys, where we are exposing the government officials in America here for just acting a fool, making America a sitcom, and we are giving them our very prestigious award of Donkey of the Day. So thanks for joining us for the episode and I'm looking forward to getting into it with you. Now, as a reminder, I am not a professional podcaster. I just happen to have a nice microphone and a camera that I'm able to use. But you'll hear me stumble, you'll hear me maybe ramble. I don't do this professionally, so please bear with me as I kind of get my feel for this. So this particular Donkey of the Day award is going to go to somebody that is a little closer to home for me, my home in a beautiful California.

Speaker 1:

This nonsense that this particular gentleman likes to say in the media is now kind of you know, a little bit of a federal level. I think he's, you know, he's kind of on the spotlight right now and we'll go into that, but without further ado. It is Mr Gavin Newsom, the governor in California. Now, I think it's important I talk about this one because this is my home state, this is where I am seeing policies at hand affect us, affect our children, affect our beautiful state, and to try to get this donkey on the federal level is going to just completely decimate California or, excuse me, the United States of America. So we really need to keep him where he's at right now. You know, hopefully his term will come down or he will end his term and after that maybe we don't have to deal with him anymore. But to see him you know, maybe try to run for the presidency someday or be vice president is going to be, you know, just devastating, I think, policy-wise to America. And again a California guy here with real experience, seeing what this guy has done. So going into it, you know, again, I don't want to go over everything about this guy. I mean, he has definitely his, you know his falls. This is more for what we're dealing with right now, I think, with the sitcom that America has become to other nations. This is crazy, this is embarrassing. We don't have real leaders right now. This is absolutely nuts and we saw that a couple of weeks back when former President Trump and Biden took the stage on that debate. We saw that Biden was just being Biden and obviously these news media outlets. Whoever calls the shots, gave them the green light. Joe Biden has been the way he has been for years now and we have seen that, and they have just chosen what to say and what not to say. And, immediately after that debate, to give like a green light of OK, game on, let's go. Let's call for him to either step down or not move forward in the presidential election.

Speaker 1:

Obviously, there's some bigger people at play here. We know this. Who are those people? I'd really like to know what's going on there. Stay out of policy. Stay out of politics. Let's be Americans. Let's vote for our leaders. Let's have a free election, if you will.

Speaker 1:

I think it's interesting, with obviously, some things that are getting tossed around. Gavin Newsom pops up and starts backing Biden. He's there at the debate that night. He's going around, he's doing a little bit of a campaign. What a joke. What a joke. California is riddled with crime. It is riddled with homelessness. It is riddled with so many problems. Do not go out and take on any free work that is going to help your career. We voted for you to be the governor of California and we need leadership now. So stop playing games, get back to your office and do your job, which you're horrible at, by the way, but we need you there to do your job, don't be going out doing something else. So you know.

Speaker 1:

With that being said, obviously you know the events followed from the debate. Everybody's calling for Biden to step down. You know, this is kind of clouded. The media outlets, this is, you know, everything everybody is talking about. And then, unfortunately, this weekend, with the attempted assassination of former President Trump, kind of switched gears. Biden comes out. He wants some unity. I mean, you know and let me just mention that real quick, it's not a part of the episode but what took you so long? What took you so long to come out and make a statement? You are the sitting president of the United States. If somebody is coming over to attack our democracy like that, you need to come out and immediately condone that and show your support, and you didn't. It took you so long to do it.

Speaker 1:

Anyways, moving on from that again separate issue, gavin Newsom. So now we're seeing, now that it's come out, you know, and I was kind of surprised, kind of surprised, I was like you know what there's no way they're going to try to weed Biden out anymore. This green light is going to be gone. It's going to turn to a yellow light, maybe people saying stuff, whatever it is, but for the most part he's going to see the election through and probably lose horribly. But he's going to see it through. And you know yesterday, lose horribly but he's going to see it through.

Speaker 1:

And you know yesterday it's kind of unofficial reports, but there are whispers of Biden possibly stepping back now and literally just I mean the circuit of a couple days. What a circus we're in of. Now we're changing the story again Again. We need a leader. You don't need to be there. Great. And now possibly Harris is going to take over.

Speaker 1:

You know, in that little, you know unconfirmed report kind of curious you're not going to endorse Vice President Harris. That's kind of ridiculous. I mean you made her your vice president. You said she was fit for the job. Why can't she be fit for presidency? But we'll see what happens. You'll say nice things but you won't endorse her. Again, we'll see what happens.

Speaker 1:

But Newsom is coming up as maybe being floated as the one of for Harris. And again these people go back. So it would make sense. They come from the same state. They go back. They've worked together, so that would make sense but America needs to know about Newsom is as politics have failed. Look it all up. I mean, my city is beautiful and my state is beautiful, but stepping over transients in the street, people getting assaulted in the streets, crime is up.

Speaker 1:

I don't have the conversation or the sheriff. If you want to look into this, you can. I'm just going to say it, but we have a sheriff that has consistently called out Governor Newsom for not meeting with all of our sheriffs. I guess that is a thing that most California governors do is once a year, a couple times a year, whatever it may be. The governor meets with all of the sheriffs. Governor Newsom is so anti-law enforcement that he doesn't do that and, trust me, we know he is anti-law enforcement, so do not let this guy trick you whatsoever. So, moving on, I'm on his X feed right now and I think you know.

Speaker 1:

Just to recall, right, we've got the day of the attempted assassination and Gavin Newsom says violence has no place in our democracy. I agree it doesn't. My thoughts are with the president, president Trump, and everyone impacted at the rally today. Remember there was an attempted assassination, but someone died. An innocent American died because he was out there supporting his candidate Horrible. So I mean, july 13th we put out that statement, you wait a couple days, you wait a couple days and then on July 16th, you're talking about how Elon Musk, how Trump, bent the knee to Elon Musk, how Trump bent the knee to Elon Musk. There is a story there. Go check it out.

Speaker 1:

Gavin Newsom, I don't even know what to say about your electric car initiative that you're trying to do. By the way, I don't want to divulge too much about the electric cars, but I can just say they're not practical. It doesn't work. Our infrastructure is not built out for it here in California. So horrible idea to think that we are going to be able to adapt this immediately in America. This is a long time coming, but we do need people like Elon Musk. That is changing the technology. You need him in your strategy to Elon Musk is ridiculous, because the policy that you are wanting I think it's in 2030 or 2035, is a ridiculous policy and we need people like Elon Musk to help us with this. You know getting electric cars out there.

Speaker 1:

So moving on, you know, I think when I was kind of looking for this donkey of the day, I kind of wanted to make just see what's going on. Of course Newsom pops up. I don't really like the guy because of what he's done to the state. You know our state already had problems, but you know he didn't make them any better. You know we've got a little bit where he's talking about JD Vance. I mean, you know that is what it is. Don't want to speak on that, but you know I like that.

Speaker 1:

Yesterday he mentioned, you know, a reminder of what life was like under Donald Trump. Murders rose to 30 percent, one of the largest increases in record history. I don't know if that's true, I'm not going to go into that, but I have to say you can't compare crime. You cannot go on and bring up crime in your agenda. Crime in California is rampant and you just can't go into it. You're not allowed. So that's off for you.

Speaker 1:

Next one was cuts to law enforcement were proposed every year. Again, I didn't fact check that. I don't know if that's true. I highly doubt that Trump supports law enforcement. What I do know is you definitely do not support law enforcement. You go and talk to any law enforcement officer in California about this and they will probably tell you. You know, budgets or whatever. They did not have your back. And I mean, we saw that. We saw that after COVID. We saw that with the great resignation that people did not want to work in law enforcement in California anymore. And specifically, it's the policies that you've put out. So you don't get to mention law enforcement. So again, you want to put some facts out, don't know if they're real or not, but don't mention law enforcement, don't mention crime.

Speaker 1:

$8.4 trillion was added to the national debt. You're a donkey. You are a donkey mentioning debt. California most residents can't pay their bills. We've got these high gas prices. We've got a ridiculous cost of living. California is in a deficit. You cannot talk about a debt. You don't get to do that. So just move on from there. And there's a couple other things that he mentioned, but I think that those are the ones that I really wanted to speak on. We've got some job loss on here. I mean, california is a huge market. California is the state, is huger than some countries, and so obviously, you know we are an example here of so many different things, and I think that if this Newsom joker gets on the ticket with Harris, we really have something to be scared of.

Speaker 1:

Again of crime rates, again, you're not allowed to talk about crime rates. Don't do it. Come to the streets, guys, walk around. It's crazy. Look up online. This is what California looks like drug overdoses, fentanyl. I mean crime is rampant and you don't do anything to prevent it. I mean I saw a video a couple of days of you going on and you know, giving shouts out to the California Highway Patrol in Oakland of recovering a thousand cars. I mean, what's going on in California, not just that one city I mean In-N-Out has had to close one location. To my knowledge, they've never closed a location before, but they had to close it because crime is so rampant.

Speaker 1:

Don't talk about crime. Do not do it. And then, moving on, we've got, you know, a little tweet that you put out there, or an ex, whatever they're calling them. But you've got boring, rambling liar. You are a liar. I do not like liars. You lie to the American people. Go back and look at you talking about homeless and what you're going to do. You know what you did during COVID and all of that stuff. So you are a liar. I can admit the speech was a little boring last night, but if you were shot, would you get up on stage a couple days later. Would you have stood up and would you have raised your hand to fight Now? You would have probably snuck out of there, they would have wished you away and we probably wouldn't have seen you for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure that happened during COVID, when you're under some scrutiny.

Speaker 1:

But Trump got up on this stage, he took the stage and he spent 20 to 30 minutes Actually don't know the exact amount of time, I'm just guessing but to explain the story, because he doesn't want to go into detail anymore. That was it and he's going to move on. And we needed to honor the fallen American where his innocent life was taken. So, yeah, I mean with that out of the equation. The speech was about an hour. Could it have been a better speech? Yes, but I think that you know, by Trump getting up there and speaking, yeah, I think his demeanor had changed. I wouldn't say it's boring. I think that—well, excuse me, I did say it's boring. But I think what's important to mention is he was up on that stage and his speech was completely rewritten. Obviously, what he was talking about now hits home a little bit more. So, yeah, I don't even think he would be on that stage. So you are not one to talk, buddy.

Speaker 1:

Anyways, guys, I just want to present today's donkey of the day to Mr Gavin Newsom. You are a joke. You're a donkey, america is a sitcom and California is a joke. It is a beautiful state with hardworking individuals that have put up with it long enough. Like myself, I have put up with this long enough to where I feel like I need to come out here and talk about it. You do have support. I don't know where it's at because most of the people I talk to here in this liberal state do not like you, so I don't know where the support's coming from. But finish out your term as governor. Please go get a high job, high paying job, wherever you guys governors, go after the fact. But don't try to run for vice president. Don't be on the ticket. And, guys, if he ends up being on the ticket, tread lightly. Do not vote for him. Vote for anything else other than that you do not want this guy in office. So congratulations, newsom. You have got the Donkey of the Day Award.

Speaker 1:

Now I would like to also say, as I put these episodes together, that any Donkey of the Day that has been presented this award is more than welcome to join me to talk about these issues and prove me wrong. I would love to have that Now. I know I am nobody. I'm just a little tiny fish in a big sea that these politics don't care about and they say they do. But nonetheless, you are invited to come over here and have a conversation with me, because I would love to tell you how I am dealing with your failed politics in California. Firsthand, do not take it to America. There are too many. There's too much at stake here, guys. Anyways, thank you for joining me on Just a Bunch of Donkeys. I look forward to future episodes and I appreciate you taking the time watching this through and getting to this point. If you have any feedback, please drop me a line Again. Just an American. I am tired of what I'm seeing. I would like the truth for every single American. And, yeah, have a good day and we'll see you next time.
