Welcome to the Uzlaga Saga podcast, where we explore spiritual beliefs from around the world through a Norse and Germanic lens. Saga is the Old Norse word meaning story or tale, but it also refers to utterance, what is said, an oral account of the oldest tales of a people. Additionally, saga is the name of a goddess. Uzlaga is the Proto-Germanic ancestor of the old Norse word Urlog, meaning fate or destiny, but its oldest meanings refer to natural or primordial law, the fundamental laws of nature that are a part of all of us. Some even theorize that the original name for our ancient religion was actually Urlog or Uzlaga.
