Digest This! Bible Study

Lesson 2: Sacred Habits of Communication

Vernetta Wood-Dunbar Season 1 Episode 4

In this episode of Digest This! Bible Study Podcast, we delve into the sacred habits that sets us up for meaningful communication with God—prayer, fasting, biblical meditation, and solitude. These sacred habits (known to many as spiritual disciplines) are foundational for strengthening our relationship with Him and lead to four powerful soul strengtheners: trust, humility, transformation, and rest.

Through scriptures like Matthew 6: 9-13(prayer), Matthew 6:16-18(fasting), Joshua 1:8 (biblical meditation), and Matthew 14:13 (solitude), we’ll examine how these habits shape our spiritual lives. We’ll also introduce how these practices help us cultivate trust in God (Matthew 14:22-33), embrace humility (Matthew 5:3), undergo spiritual transformation (Matthew 7:15-20), and find rest in Him (Matthew 11:28-30).
