Ep 4- Horse Show Mom Talk, How to NOT raise an A**hole and the LITERAL ups & downs of horse showing with Deanna Rippeon
There are so many horse show moms, dads and grandparents out there that support all of us crazy horse kids (me included even at almost 40 years old LOL) and they need to be thanked profusely!! Its not an easy job to be a parent, let alone one who decides to take on helping their child physically, mentally AND financially take on the world of horse showing.
Lets talk to one of the best- Deanna Rippeon. She has two girls that compete in the 14-18 all around events on the AQHA circuit. She lets us in on how she has successfully not raised bratty kids, how they keep it together at the shows and how they started from the bottom; "now they here"
One of my favorite take aways from this sesh was this quote straight from Deanna:
"when something is a part of your fabric, you don't go changing it."
