Welcome to this morning mindfulness meditation. This practice is designed to help you start your day with clarity and calm, centering yourself before the busyness of motherhood begins. Before the busyness of motherhood begins, sit comfortably either on a chair or on the floor, with your spine straight but relaxed. Close your eyes gently, begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth. Allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment. In this moment, as you breathe in, feel the cool air entering your body, bringing in fresh energy for the day, and, as you breathe out, release any tension or stress, letting it all dissolve away.
Amelia Todd:Now bring your attention to your body. Notice how your feet are connected to the ground, how your hands rest in your lap or on your knees your lap or on your knees. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your role as a mother. Take a moment to acknowledge all that you do, all that you are. Breathe in love and compassion for yourself and, as you breathe out, send that same love and compassion to your children. Silently repeat to yourself I am enough, I am doing my best. I am a loving and capable mother. I am enough, I am doing my best. I am a loving and capable mother and capable mother. Take a few more breaths here, feeling the warmth of peace into your day.
