The Restaurant Guys are thrilled to host two of the owners of NYC’s incredibly successful bar Employees Only, Dushan Zaric and Jason Kosmas. Dushan and Jason talk about some of the keys to their success and how in the world they serve 140,000 cocktails each year.

Jason went to college and tended bar in the same town that The Guys have their restaurants. Small world!

Bios

Dushan Zaric arrived in New York after college and began bartending to  make ends meet. When he ended up behind the bar at Pravda, he flourished under the tutelage of Dale DeGroff. 

In 2004 he opened Employees Only and later co-founded The 86 Co. . He was named Forbes Top 50 Tastemakers in 2012 and in 2014, he was awarded Best Bar Mentor at Tales of the Cocktail. 

He’s a noted author, entrepreneur and influencer. 


Jason Kosmas grew up in NJ and began tending bar while in college. He made the move to NYC to work at Tavern on the Green and Pravda. Under the guidance of Dale DeGroff, Jason became Bar Manager in 2001, Time Out declared Pravda Best Martini Bar. 

He opened Employees Only in 2004, co-authored several, opened a beverage consulting firm and co-founded The 86 Co.

He is working in the cocktail scene in Texas.
