Welcome everyone. I'm Sofia Yvette, co-host and producer here in the studio with Watsa Kutogolo Watsa, how's it going Going?

well, how are you, sophia? Thanks for joining today.

Yeah, and I know over the years you've grown a remarkable following. However, some of our listeners may not be familiar with your full journey. Let's take it from the top. Can you share a little background about your company and what you do?

Speaker 3:

Yes, of course. So Lensa Give is a custom online gift shop, so it's created to help you give with purpose. So we offer a variety of products including home decor, apparel, kitchenware, accessories and more, and these are all helpful for you to support during birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, get well soon or give for corporate events and beyond. So our mission is to help you give with purpose. So we help you see gifting from different perspectives, from the way where you want to connect with the person receiving. And one thing we also are proud of is about how we give back to the community. That's what's set us specifically apart from other gift shop. So a percentage of every purchase supports nonprofits and a tuition-free school.

Speaker 3:

My grandmother founded in Togo, and that is in West Africa, africa where I'm originally from. So in Togo, just a little bit just to help you my viewers know is in Togo, parents must pay for their children's education from K through university, which is not something every parent can do. So through our 360 degree impact that's how we call it at Lensa Gifts we offer our customers where they can proud to say that, in addition to giving to their receiver, they are also part of something more than that, where they provide education to children and also supporting the community. So when we say we are spreading encouragement, one gift at a time, we truly mean it.

Speaker 2:

And when you're not busy running your business, what do you do for fun?

Speaker 3:

Ah, so I do wear multiple hats, so Lentagif happens to be the icing on the cake for me. So, besides being the founder of Lentagif, I'm also a devoted wife and proud mother of two, nine and six. You know how busy that could be. That's like a one full time job and also a transformational leader with over 20 years of experience in the corporate business, new product development and supply chain management. So on top of these, my husband and I, we also own another business I know you asked for a question so another business where we actually help people capture and preserve their special memories through 3d printing. So this is actually franchise. Let me show you really quick so the viewer can see how detailed that could be. We help people lock in those memories uh, and have uh, this as either a birthday or corporate gift you're naming.

Speaker 3:

So all this balance, balancing all these roles, can be challenging, of course. However, the way I see it is, I try to have fun when I'm doing all these things, so it's not like I'm setting aside a time to have fun and then go back to the hard working. However, not everybody find what you do, or especially kids. They don't find everything you see that is fun. So that's why I set a time for them to have fun with them and my husband. So my husband, he's my support team like the best man ever supporting. So I am so grateful for having that time with them when I'm not doing all those things. And also, I want to point out, I love having time with friends and family, but, most importantly, I love actually giving back into the community, getting into the community and supporting as much as I can. So those are my fun time.

Wow, watsa, you are a very busy person, that is for sure In your own words. You are a very busy person, that is for sure In your own words. Why?

Speaker 3:

are you doing this? I know it all goes back. We all have that route, right. Mine wasn't, I would say, a pleasant experience at first. That happened a few years ago when I lost a very dear cousin of mine unexpectedly, and this is something that actually shaped me to the core. I never had that experience before and that's something that got me just thinking, like having so many questions, where I went back to my drawing board I call it my life drawing board where I asked some tough question where, if I were to die today, what would be my legacy? What would life be like? You know, what would my children? I would like my children to know about me?

Speaker 3:

And even before my cousin's passing that's something that is very important to mention here is he told me hey, you have a gift of giving intentionally, you have to share it with the world. And I'm like, forget about that. And I didn't even have the chance to talk to him, my buddy, because I heard his passing. And then I was thinking, wow, he was telling me I have to start something to share, how to give with purpose with the world. So that's one step why I started. And then I said, oh God, what am I going to do about this? Now I have to share, and then I need to let the world know about how we can all make the world a better place, just one step at a time. So, looking back, this is why I do this. I like to be that fit of the hand of Jesus how we say it where just one little step, one little act of kindness can just bring better community, better life to others. So that's why I do this.
