Episode six- Dr. Devlin

Docs of Vernon Season 1 Episode 6

Gratitude for Our Family Physicians

Not everyone has a family doctor, and that’s not because physicians aren’t stepping up—it’s because our healthcare system is stretched beyond its limits. But today, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible doctors who show up every day with heart, dedication, and passion. 💙

Meet Dr. Dan Devlin—a former ER nurse turned family physician who has been serving the Armstrong community for the past four years. He does it all: hospitalist medicine, family practice, palliative care, and mentoring future doctors. On top of that, he’s working to make healthcare more efficient, finding better ways for patients to access care. 🏥

But beyond the stethoscope, he reminds us that life is about balance. 🏒 He plays hockey with fellow docs, travels with his wife, and enjoys golfing in his free time. A reminder that even the busiest physicians are human too.

To all our family doctors out there: THANK YOU. 🙏 Your work changes lives. Your compassion is felt. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

And to those still waiting for a doctor, we see you. The lack of access is not a reflection of our doctors’ willingness to care—it’s a sign that our healthcare system needs fixing. Let’s keep pushing for change while holding deep gratitude for those who continue to show up.
