Today’s episode features Affectiva's Product Manager, Mike Gionfriddo. During the interview, he talks to us about his background in startups focused on in-vehicle technology, what he sees as challenges within the automotive industry and how Affectiva’s Human Perception AI technology plays into that.
Mike’s work at Affectiva really focuses on how the company can improve road safety, specifically with regard to our Human Perception AI offering. What I found most interesting about our chat was the the balance that must be struck with AI between helping OEMs and Tier 1s keep costs down with a minimal processing footprint, while providing accurate, real time estimates of emotions and cognitive states with highly efficient models.
