James Daubeney

Welcome to another episode of The Story of Rock and Roll Show.  S7E26 went out live from my studio in Benoni on Rebel Rock Radio at 19h00 on 27 June 2024.  It's hard to believe we are halfway through the year already, time flies when you are rockin’ out.

On this week's Twisted Triplet, we had three tracks called ‘Animal’ and took versions from Pearl Jam, Def Leppard, and Anti-Nowhere League.  They couldn’t be more different.

In the evolution of the Foo Fighters, we have the second last release Medicine at Midnight which was recorded during the Covid con and we took a listen to 'Shame Shame'.

Immortals this week came from Accept and a track off Stalingrad titled 'Galley’.

The Diabolical Challenge looked at four bands beginning with the letter ‘B’.  The idea is that we have 4 albums, and you can only pick one.  This week we had:

Buckcherry – Time Bomb

The Black Crowes – Shake Your Money Maker

Bush – Sixteen Stone

Bullet for My Valentine – The Poison

Bomb Crocodile and Slow Panda’s picks of the week were Bruce Springsteen’s ‘If I Was The Priest’ and Linkin Park’s ‘By Myself’.

Artists Featured:  Guns ‘n’ Roses, Joel Hoekstra’s 13, W.A.S.P., ZZ Top, Candlebox, Extreme, Biters, Dee Snider, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Wolfmother, Triumph, Pearl Jam, Def Leppard, Anti-Nowhere League, The Rolling Stones, Motörhead, Santana, Grandfunk Railroad, Foo Fighters, Goodbye June, Desolation Angels, Saxon, Iron maiden, The Jam, Accept, Buckcherry, The Black Crowes, Bush, Bullet For My Valentine, Roan Ash, Springbok Nude Girls, The Uninvited, Linkin park, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Sebastian Bach, Thundermother
