What is it really, and how can understanding it help us get what we want in life? Yes, you know, I believe that everybody should have a focus because when you narrow down, your focus like mine is on entrepreneurship and you know, predominantly at Love Energy Wellness, my private wellness practice I'm serving women entrepreneurs and that's just simply because the wellness industry is about 80% women, so that's mostly what my marketing is geared towards. Yeah, so I believe everybody should have a focus and you can tie almost anything back to a particular topic and the alliter B's there. That is alliteration. Let's get started with our podcast today on energetic alignment. It sounds fancy, right. Well, at its core, it's about something incredibly fundamental and powerful and I wanted to go a different direction here today in this episode of Breaking Boundaries podcast. I've been doing a lot of the episodes from the perspective of an integrative health practitioner, a high-performance health coach, and I wanted to take a pause and get back to some of my other roots. Like I have so many roots and we talk about the root cause Some of my roots in the subconscious reprogramming realm as a consulting hypnotist from the National Guild of Hypnotists and I love doing that work I really, really do so.

Speaker 1:

You know, the fundamental and powerful part is Energetic alignment. It's about bridging the gap between our desires and beliefs. That's really what energetic alignment comes down to, and you may have a different opinion. You may have heard other strategies or definitions on what alignment means, but the way I understand it, the way I teach it, the way I work with people on getting them aligned, is understanding what are their desires, what do they want, and then understanding what do they believe and then bridging that gap in between the two. That is what we are aligning what you want and what you believe. If those two are out of whack, then we're not going in the direction that we need to, and you know, we want to ensure that what we want in life matches up with what we believe is possible, and when these two aspects are in sync, we experience a smooth flow of energy. This is what we talk about ease and flow with your energy and attracting the things that we want to come back to us and helps us to achieve our goals with ease and joy. The joy is the important part, because abundance follows joy. If you cannot appreciate and be grateful for what you have and it really comes down to the emotional aspect of it Can you feel gratitude for something that has not happened yet? That's a great question, and when there's a disconnect between what we want, our desires, and what we believe, we often find ourselves stuck and frustrated and wondering why we can't move forward.

Speaker 1:

So first let's talk about limiting beliefs. These are those deeply ingrained thoughts and perceptions that constrain our actions and potential. They are the subconscious narratives. Everybody has subconscious narratives. These narratives are what tell us what we can and cannot do. For instance, you might desire to start your own business, but if, deep down, you believe that you're not capable or you feel that you are unworthy of success, that belief will sabotage your efforts. And it's not actually the belief that's sabotaging your efforts. It's the belief is the program that's programming the subconscious mind to keep you safe, and that subconscious is what is actually sabotaging your efforts, because your subconscious wants the organism to survive, and this is a fear-based strategy, because getting out of our comfort zone can be fearful, and we'll talk a bit more about that in a moment. So these limiting beliefs are often formed in as early as childhood or through past experiences, through our teenage years, our young adult years and onward through life, even up to just yesterday, and these can be so deeply rooted that we're not even aware of them. They act as invisible barriers holding us back from reaching our true potential. Call them boundaries, because we're in a Breaking Boundaries podcast here, and this is really what it's about. Whether we're breaking boundaries in health or breaking boundaries in the subconscious realm, these boundaries can hold us back from reaching our true potential.

Speaker 1:

I am not immune to these things myself. Like I've struggled with these in the past. I've worked with other coaches that have helped me realize some blind spots that I've had and made some major boundary breakthroughs, we'll say, to be able to get me to where I am today and I still work on these things to get to where I want to be able to get me to where I am today and I still work on these things to get to where I want to be. Like I'm satisfied with where I am, but I have desires to be in a new place and I love where I am. I'm grateful for where I am, but I'm also grateful for where I'm going and I'm enjoying. So back to that joy. I'm enjoying the journey. I'm no longer frustrated with being where I am because I'm not where I want to be. I'm enjoying where I am. I'm enjoying the journey to where I'm going and every level that I get to is a new accomplishment that I celebrate internally. You know I don't necessarily throw a party and invite friends and family over to to celebrate that, but um I I have a deep appreciation and a sense of gratitude every single day.

Speaker 1:

So let's talk about the roadblocks that are created by limiting beliefs. I want you to imagine so using the um. You know the metaphor of being on a journey. You're on a journey to your dream destination, but the road that you're on is full of obstacles. So each limiting belief that you have is like a roadblock preventing you from moving forward. These limiting beliefs can manifest in various ways and I'll give you a few of them here.

Speaker 1:

Self-doubt is a huge one for so many people, believing you're not good enough or worthy enough or capable of achieving your desires. Next one is fear of failure. Now, all of these are fear-based. But fear of failure, worrying that you'll fail and if you try that, you're not gonna, you're not going to, you're not going to accomplish it, so you don't even start. Next is fear of success. So, contrary to fear of failure, many people have a fear of success and subconsciously they are fearing the changes that success might bring will be such a drastic change that maybe people will look at them differently or think of them differently or negatively. So they have a fear of success. Maybe when they're successful, they have bigger problems. They don't want bigger problems, so that they self-sabotage subconsciously so that they stay where they are, they stay in their comfort zone. That is a fear of success. And then procrastination, which is also fear-based. This is delaying action because of underlying fears and doubts. So all of these self-doubt, fear of failure, fear of success, procrastination, these are all fear-based feelings, thoughts and actions.

Speaker 1:

Now, these roadblocks, they absolutely drain your energy. So you know, back to energetic alignment. These are draining your energy, using your resources, using up your vitamins and minerals, depleting your body, weakening your immune system, causing frustration and illness and sickness and stress, which can cause so many other issues. I'm'm not even going to go down that road. So these roadblocks, they drain your energy, they prevent you from making progress and they keep you in a state of energetic misalignment where your desires and your beliefs are at odds. So let's use the metaphor of having train cars, railroad cars, on a track, and at the front end of the train you have the engine and at the back end of the train, instead of a caboose, you have another engine. Now the first engine is heading east and the second, the last engine there on the other end of the train, is heading west and they're both trying to pull those train cars in opposite directions. They are at odds. So this is the energetic misalignment, where your desires are going one direction and your beliefs are going in another direction and they are not aligned. Hopefully, that makes sense for you. Now, what can you do about this? Let's talk about and I alluded to this earlier at the top of the show subconscious reprogramming. What is that? This is the bridge to energetic alignment. This is bridging the gap between your desires and your belief. So how do we remove these roadblocks and achieve energetic alignment? You're probably wondering Now, not stage hypnosis, not any of those.

Speaker 1:

You know sideshow hypnosis, all those, those hypnotists. Nothing against them. They're very good at what they do, but they're doing it for entertainment and comedy purposes. I'm talking about clinical hypnosis that has been recognized as a clinical procedure since the 1950s. This has efficacy and if you're curious on the efficacy of hypnosis, you can go to our hypnosis page over at loveenergywellnesscom. Our technique is called NeuroTrust, so N-E-U-R-O-T-R-U-S-T. Trust is an acronym for Transformational Reprogramming, for Unlimited Success Technique, t-r-u-s-t. So hypnosis, you might be wondering.

Speaker 1:

Okay, if we're not talking about stage hypnosis, how does clinical hypnosis work for this? It's a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, and what this does is it allows direct access to the subconscious mind where these limiting beliefs reside. Now, you know, the client is always in control. If somebody doesn't want to be hypnotized, they're not going to be hypnotized. If they allow themselves to be hypnotized, they're going to be hypnotized. But they are always in control. They can always come out of hypnosis whenever they choose to. This is not mind control. We're not like taking over somebody's uh, somebody's willpower right, their will. I cannot will somebody to do something they don't want to do. So I cannot hypnotize somebody to go rob a bank if they're not the kind of person who is going to be a bank robber.

Speaker 1:

So, that being said, what we do is we get direct access to the subconscious mind and we reprogram these limiting beliefs. So through clinical hypnosis, we can actually do a few things here. We can identify these limiting beliefs, we can bring to light the subconscious narratives that are holding you back, and what we do is we work through a pre-talk before hypnosis to get to these subconscious narratives, and we use techniques like neuro-linguistic programming to be able to elicit this information out of people. And they give me the information that I need to be able to work in the subconscious realm with them. Now we bring these limiting beliefs to light through the pre-talk and then what we do is we reframe those negative thoughts, we replace the limiting beliefs with positive, empowering thoughts. That's a key word right there.

Speaker 1:

Empowerment is what we do with hypnosis. We empower the person, the client, to be able to implement what they want in life, to be able to bring that to fruition, to reality, make those things happen, attract the things that they want to them, just like in integrative health or high performance health. We empower the client to get the results that they want. I don't actually do the work, I just lay out the path for the person and if they follow the steps that I give them for creating the health that they want or the performance that they want, if they follow those steps, they're actually doing the work themselves. So you know, to be able to reframe negative thoughts, we replace the limiting beliefs. Now I give the client homework to do in a hypnosis session or after a hypnosis session, and if they don't do the homework, they're not going to get the results that they want. So it's not just a one and done thing. There are steps to take and there is a process to be able to reframe these negative thoughts.

Speaker 1:

And then what we do is we install these new beliefs. We create supportive beliefs that align with your desires. It's kind of like replacing the software in your computer. It's sort of a restart for your software. It really is. So we install these new beliefs. So when you install an update on your iPhone or your Android right, you get better performance out of the machine.

Speaker 1:

Well, when we install new beliefs in the subconscious mind of a client using clinical hypnosis, when we identify limiting beliefs, we reframe negative thoughts and we install new beliefs. We create those new supportive beliefs. We create a new software that drives the results. And remember that your thoughts lead to feelings, so feelings play a key role into this. Our feelings lead to beliefs and then the beliefs lead to our identity.

Speaker 1:

Now, our thoughts, our feelings and our beliefs those are really our habits of every single day that we implement. You don't get what you want in life, you get your habits. As my coach, jim Fortin, always says, you know, I got to give credit where credit is due, and then those habits create our identity. That is at the core. So what we're doing is our subconscious reprogramming. We're reprogramming a new identity. Now, no, we're not stripping away you know the importance. You're not going to forget who you were or who you are at your core, but your identity lies in your subconscious, so we're creating a new identity. Identity lies in your subconscious, so we're creating a new identity and then that's going to create a new attitude for you every single day that you do this work. It's like I'm drawing a blank on a good analogy here, but it's building a foundation. That's what it is. It's building a solid foundation, that identity at your core, and that's going to create the attitude where you're going to make different decisions, you're going to take different actions, and those decisions and actions that your new attitude is being applied to is going to result in different outcomes, the outcomes that you want.

Speaker 1:

So the process of clinical hypnosis is absolutely amazing and so powerful. So, during a clinical hypnosis session, a trained practitioner like myself I'm certified by the, by the National Guild of hypnotists and a trained practitioner guides you into a relaxed state. Now, this could be very similar to meditation or anything like that. So you get into a relaxed state and what that does is it bypasses the critical conscious mind and accessing the subconscious. This is where we get access to the subconscious and this process allows for very deep, lasting change. And it works like this During relaxation.

Speaker 1:

Relaxation you're guided into a relaxed state similar to a daydream or meditation, like I said, and then the suggestibility comes into play, where the practitioner introduces positive suggestions and affirmations that align with your desires the visualization part. A lot of people say they, they have trouble. Visual is visualizing, but everybody can tap into a feeling, whether they're blocking that feeling or not. So we use visualization, we use keywords to be able to help to visualize, help to feel and what it's like to achieve your goals, and this reinforces the new beliefs. And then the integration part is where we take the new beliefs and they are integrated into your subconscious, replacing the old limiting ones.

Speaker 1:

Now, I say replacing, it's like you know, taking the low road and then somebody builds a highway and now you're always taking the highway and you're bypassing that low, windy, bumpy road and you're on the highway. You can make better time Now that low road still exists. So your old limiting beliefs still exist. And this is the reason why you know, if somebody goes to see a hypnotist for a smoking cessation, they want to stop smoking, right? Well, that identity still exists as a smoker, but we create an identity as a non-smoker. Now, if they go and buy a pack of cigarettes and have a cigarette, they are reinforcing that identity as a smoker. So that pathway still exists, but we want to be on that superhighway and we want to bypass those old limiting beliefs. So let's talk about getting some sustainable results Subconscious reprogramming with clinical hypnosis.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, it bridges the gap between your desires and your beliefs, and what this does is it aligns you with your energy and removes those roadblocks. So this alignment leads to sustainable results because the change occurs at a deep subconscious level and when your beliefs support your desires. That's very important. I'm going to say that again, slower this time. When your beliefs support your desires, you move forward with confidence and ease, making consistent progress towards your goals very, very important.
