Ronald Blythe - an intimate little story from Bottengoms
This is the story of the late British writer Ronald Blythe CBE, or more precisely what linked me to him. To me, he was simply Ronnie.
It is an intimate little story, spanning over the last 6 years of his life, when he was retired from public life. It is about his garden, the old brick floor of his house, his gentleness, his cat, his memories and above all, it is about our friendship.
This story is the result of my conversations with Ronnie. His voice, narrative and account were my only sources.
The sounds that you will hear have mostly been recorded at Bottengoms during the last 6 years.
