In today's episode Dr Becky Spelman speak to a lady known online as Bipolar Barbie about her experiences with Bipolar. In this video Bipolar Barbie (known as B) talks about her experiences of getting a diagnosis, going through a manic episode, experiencing depression and managing medication. B also discusses how she has reshaped her life in order to manage her condition.

In addition to Bipolar II, B has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). B was initially a star student and was doing well academically, she was accepted to study law however despite her academic strengths her mental health challenges prevented her from finishing her studies and B has to shape a different life for herself in order to cope best with her mental health difficulties. B is now a mental health advocate, she lives on a farm where she embraces her creativity and is in a much better place mentally.
