Hello and welcome back to another episode on Lead to Excel podcast. It's Maureen Chiana here, and I can't tell you how excited I am to be back behind this mic. It's been a little while and I've been busy working on something incredibly special that I cannot wait to share with you. First, let me thank you for your patience and for sticking with me. Whether you're tuning in for the first time or you've been here since the beginning, know that this space is all about growth, transformation and unlocking our God-given potential. But before we dive into what I've been doing, let me just say this you are here for a reason. I don't believe in coincidences, so if you're listening today, I hope that you live with a sense of purpose, hope and tools to rewire your life, one thought at a time. Let's dive into what I've been up to and the exciting journey ahead. So where have I been? And the exciting journey ahead? So where have I been? Well, over the last few months, I've been pouring my heart, mind and soul into a new project, a book that is already transforming lives, and it's called Rewire your Brain with Neuroscience and Scripture. Every Day brain with neuroscience and scripture every day. And for those that are listening to the audio version, I'm actually holding up the book and you can find this book in Amazon or any other bookstore, on Kindle as well, and Kobo and all other digital places that you read your books. But the key thing about this book and I'm going to go into a bit more detail later is that it's a daily guide, so every day you have content and the book is actually split into 12 different sections. So it's called Rewire your Brain with Neuroscience and Scripture Every Day. And before I get into the book, I want to go beyond just introducing the book to you. I want to leave you with a message that will ignite transformation in your life, starting right now. So I've titled this podcast One Thought Away from Transformation to this podcast One Thought Away From Transformation.
Speaker 1:And I'll start with a question. What's one thought that has been replaying in your mind lately? Whether you realize it or not, the quality of your thoughts act as the foundation for the life that you build. Proverbs 23, 7 reminds us and it says as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Science affirms this, with the principle that our brain structure adapts to what we think about most often. A process that we now know is neuroplasticity, and this process is what actually gives us the understanding that we can actually change the thought patterns we have. We can change our life by changing our thoughts.
Speaker 1:One thought can inspire you to take bold action or it can keep you stuck in fear and hesitation. Consider this If your thoughts were the steering wheel of your life, where are they taking you? Are they guiding you towards purpose, towards growth, or are they holding you back in a circle of self-doubt and limitations and fear and worry? Being risk averse. For example, I once coached a lady who was hesitant to step into leadership. Her inner dialogue was I'm not cut out for this. That single belief shaped how she approached opportunities, holding her back over years, it impacted on the decisions that she made, still holding her back. But once she challenged her thoughts and replaced it with I'm equipped and empowered to lead with confidence, her actions began to align with her new mindset. Over time, that one transformed thought shifted her entire trajectory and she's now thriving as an exceptional leader in her organization.
Speaker 1:The key message is this in high organization, the key message is this what you choose to think about most often is what you eventually become. And I'll repeat that again what you choose to think about most often is what you eventually become. So take charge of your inner dialogue today, because even one small shift in your thinking can spark a ripple effect of transformation in every area of your life. The way you think shapes your emotions, your decisions, your results and, ultimately, your destiny. Think thoughts of fear, and your brain wires itself to see more fear. Think thoughts of faith, and your brain begins to seek opportunities and solutions. So here's the big takeaway you have the power to choose your thoughts. So choose wisely, so choose wisely.
Speaker 1:So this one thought concept is really what enabled me, or inspired me, to write the book, because when you understand the importance of being aware of your thoughts, being aware of what you say and the impact it has on the decisions that you make. The impact it has on how you even communicate, how you perceive yourself and how people perceive you. Once you understand that and take the actions to now rewire the thought processes, the limiting beliefs, the limiting thoughts that you have, it completely changes your life. And this book I call it. It's actually a daily guide. So this daily guide is what will enable you each day to stay focused on where you want to go and what you want to achieve, so that you can keep rewiring what needs to be rewired and actually maintain that new wiring you have to enable you to achieve the end result that you want to achieve. So rewire your brain with neuroscience, and scripture is your tool, your weapon, your ammunition, your resource to enable you stay focused and achieve the results you want.
Speaker 1:The element of scripture is quite unique and the importance of it is that, as a Christian, it gives you the anchor, the foundation, because that is our foundation. So it gives us the anchor to enable you actually take the actions that you want to take. For example, you can keep having affirmations, keep saying positive statements, but if it's not based on any solid foundation, they become words that you're just saying and they don't have any impact. But as a Christian, when you bring it back to scripture and know the foundation of Christianity, the fact that we are made in God's image, bringing it back to the concept of identity, of who God has made you and how God has made us in his image, I always say there's a topic, there's a day that actually has the question who am I and whose am I? Who am I and whose am I? And if you're able to just hook on to those through challenges, to push through life's problems, issues and live the life that God has ordained for you to live.
Speaker 1:So the book is designed as a 366-day guide. It's not just a book you read and forget. It's a tool for transformation and it goes from day one to day 366. So you keep reusing it every year and you can start it at any time. So you can start it in February, you can start it in the middle of the month, you can start from day one or you can decide I want to go into this section on relationships or I want to go into this section about how to let go of the past, because a lot of times what holds people stuck is being stuck in the past, and there's a section that will help you through that. There are topics on how to overcome imposter syndrome, how to overcome procrastination. There's literally everything that you need to live. A fulfilled, high-level, powered, successful life is in this book, so one of my favorite parts is that it's not about perfection, it's about progress. So I share stories, challenges, victories and lessons to remind you that transformation is possible for anyone willing to take the journey.
Speaker 1:The core principles in the book are faith, meeting science, combines scripture with insights from neuroscience, showing you how to rewire your thoughts, build resilience and live purposefully. You've also got practical tips every single day. So, after going through the information, the educational part and inspirational part, you then have practical steps from letting go of the past, like I just said, to achieving your biggest goals. There's a section on goal setting. This book gives you bite sized actions that will enable you achieve big results. You also have reflective questions at the end of every day so that you can really stop and reflect, because that process of reflection helps create new wiring in your brain and as you start going through the daily guide, it then helps keep rewiring, because it's repetition that rewires the brain. The third thing is that it's a journey, not a destination. So this guide structure will help you grow in areas like confidence, relationships, leaderships, purpose, self-discovery, one step at a time.
Speaker 1:Why this book matters now is that we live in such a fast-paced, uncertain world, don't we? It's easy to feel overwhelmed or stuck, like you're running on empty or chasing things that don't truly fulfill you. This guide is my way of saying stop breathe is my way of saying stop, breathe and refocus. The world will try to tell you who you are, but God already has given you an identity. The problem is so many people have forgotten how to access it.
Speaker 1:Rewire your Brain with neuroscience and scripture is about helping you take back that power. Step by step, day by day. It will help you rediscover who you are. It will help you rediscover who God is. One of the key messages I hope resonates with you is this You're not your past. You're not your past, you're not your mistakes. You are what you choose to believe and build today. So grab your copy of the book from Amazon, and you can also get a copy from Mindsight Store or any bookstore where you shop. You can also get the digital copy from Kindle or Kobo or Apple Play wherever you listen to your digital books, you can also get a copy. So get your copy and start transforming your life today. So I'm going to give you a few practical tips to enable you rewire your brain so that you can achieve that transformation, and remembering that you're just one thought away from transformation. So I'll leave you with three simple but powerful steps to start today.
Speaker 1:First, pause and reflect. Take a moment to identify your most frequent thoughts. Is it uplifting or limiting? Write it down. Awareness is the first step to change, because if you don't know what you need to change, then what are you actually changing? Replace the lie with truth. If your thought is negative, challenge it with God's truth. For instance, if you think I'll never succeed, replace it with I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4.13.
Speaker 1:Can you see how, I said, the scripture gives you an anchor because it takes it away from you telling yourself or feeling that you're telling yourself a lie I can do all things. When your brain is then telling you, no, you can't. But you take it away from you, from your ability, and when God says you can do all things. He created you. He is the one that made you. He knows what he has put in you, so you have no choice but to believe him. So, with that, that becomes your anchor. So, taking it away from the limiting thought, you move it into what does scripture say, and that's why this book is so powerful.
Speaker 1:The third step I'll leave you with is repeat and reinforce. Repetition is key to rewiring your brain. Speak your new thought daily, especially during moments of doubt. That's when you need to go back to something that you're going to hold on, to a scripture, a quote, a statement, but anchoring it with what God says you can do. Your brain strengthens pathways through repetition. So consistency is everything. So I'm inviting you to take this journey with me.
Speaker 1:Whether you've been following my work or you're new to this space, this book is for anyone ready to grow, thrive and step into the life that God has planned for you. If you've ever felt stuck, if you're ready for a change, or if you simply want a daily dose of inspiration rooted in faith and science, this is your starting point. This book has launched and, like I said, it's available in bookstores. Anywhere where you buy your books Amazon, mindsight store grab your copy and, before we go, I want to say thank you again for being here.
