Many of you have noticed a link in my episode descriptions. Many of you have noticed a link in my episode descriptions saying to just say hi or send in a story suggestion, and I've been receiving all of your messages and it's been so wonderful and so helpful in planning episodes. I do want to say that there have been an immense amount of suggestions like Harry Potter and Because of Winn-Dixie and Chronicles of Narnia, but I cannot do any of those stories because they are copywritten. However, I am trying to find some similar stories in the public domain, so don't worry, I am working on it. In the meantime, I have another wonderful listener suggestion for you.

Jordan:

Popocatappetl and its taxi bottle is an Aztec myth from two volcanoes in Puebla, mexico. This story is reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet and it is perfect for bedtime. So snuggle up your blankets and have sweet dreams. Once upon a time, in the ancient and mystical lands of Mexico, where verdant jungles whispered secrets of forgotten eras and mighty jaguars prowled under the dense canopy, there stood the grand kingdom of Tenochtitlan. This city was a jewel among the hills, its pyramids and temples standing proud under a vast azure sky, glimmering in the sunlight like celestial monuments. This kingdom was ruled by a wise and benevolent emperor whose heart was filled with love for his only daughter, the exquisite princess Eastaxiwaddle.

Jordan:

Unparalleled beauty, a creature of such grace and charm that the mere sight of her could bring the hardest warrior to his knees. Her hair was as black as the raven's wing, cascading in waves down her back, and her eyes were the deepest obsidian, sparkling with the light of a thousand stars. Obsidian, sparkling with the light of a thousand stars. Her laugh was like the sweet music of a mountain brook, bringing joy to all who heard it. Her beauty was renowned far and wide, and the young men of Tenochtitlan were entranced by her. Every suitor in the village sought her favor, each one hoping to win her heart. Noblemen and warriors alike vied for her attention, presenting her with gifts of gold, precious stones and rare flowers from distant lands. They composed poems in her honor, sang songs of her beauty and performed feats of strength to impress her.

Jordan:

Yet despite their earnest efforts, his taxi-waddle's heart belonged solely to Popocatpetl, the brave warrior whose valor and noble spirit had captured her love. Apacatpetl's heart was as true as his sword was sharp. From childhood, he and his Taksuadl had been inseparable. Their bond is natural and unbreakable as the towering mountains that embrace their homeland. They loved each other with a passion as fierce as the sun's embrace of the earth. Their hearts forever entwined in a symphony of devotion.

Jordan:

One fateful day, the peace of Tenochtitlan was shattered by the news of an approaching threat, a dark force bent on conquering their beloved land. The emperor, with a heavy heart, called upon his mightiest warriors to defend the realm Pappacatapetl, driven by his duty and love for his people was among the first to set forward. Before he departed, he sought the blessing of his beloved Ishtaxiwatl. In a tender and tearful farewell, she gave him a white rose, a symbol of her pure and unwavering love, and they vowed to be reunited upon his victorious return. The war that followed was fierce and relentless, a brutal clash that echoed through the valleys and reverberated among the ancient peaks. Popocatépetl fought with unmatched bravery, his strength and courage inspiring all who fought beside him.

Jordan:

Meanwhile, into Nojtitlan, his Taksuadl waited anxiously, her heart, a tumultuous sea of hope and fear. Mulchous sea of hope and fear. Every day she would climb the highest peak, her eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of her beloved. Her prayers carried on the wind to the ears of the gods. But fate, as a cruel mistress and jealousy, an insidious foe. Among these Toxiewatels, many suitors, was a particularly malicious and envious rival who also sought the hand of the beautiful princess. This rival, burning with envy, saw an opportunity to deceive. He spread false news of Popocatépetl's death on the battlefield, hoping to claim her love for himself. And upon hearing this devastating news, ishtaxi Waddle's heart shattered into a thousand pieces, the light in her eyes dimmed and she fell into a deep and eternal sleep, her soul unable to bear the weight of such sorrow.

Jordan:

When Popocatpetl finally returned, victorious but weary from the endless battles, he was met with the heart-wrenching news of East Tuxewatel's fate. The joy of his triumph turned to ash, and his heart was consumed by an indescribable grief. With unwavering devotion, he carried her lifeless body to the top of a grand mountain, laying her gently on a bed of snow. Overcome by sorrow, he knelt beside her, vowing to watch over her for all eternity. The gods, moved by the depth of their love and the tragedy of their story, decided to immortalize them. They transformed East Toxiewaltol's resting body into a majestic mountain, a snow-covered peak, forever resembling a sleeping woman. Woman Pabukatpetl, steadfast and loyal, was turned into a mighty volcano, his fiery heart eternally burning with the love he bore for her. And so, to this day, the two mountains stand side by side, a testament to the enduring power of love in the depths of sorrow. Baba Ghatapetal, with his occasional fiery eruptions, symbolizes the undying passion and loyalty of his love. Compassion and loyalty of his love. While its tuxedo rests in eternal peace, her serene beauty, a constant reminder of their tragic but beautiful love story. In the end, their love, like the mountains, stood the test of time, reminding all who hear their tale that true love never dies. It endures through the ages, as steadfast and eternal as the land of Mexico.
