Coping With the Loss Of A Loved One: 4 Year Anniversary of My Fathers Passing
Sep 12, 2023 Season 2 Episode 13
Diane O'Canto

In today’s episode I talk about the 4 year anniversary of my fathers passing 9/14/2019. I always say grief is weird, hard to explain but those who understand know the feeling of loss. A feeling like someone special is missing the party and we are secretly hoping they walk through the door but subconsciously know that won’t ever happen.

Tea With D began because I needed a space to escape and express my emotions through a creative outlet. I rewind time and go back to that fateful day I received a call that would change the course of my life forever. The days leading up to the passing and the state of mind I was in. With a new perceptive 4 years later, a lot can change.

From the day he left this earth and how I’ve coped ever since. I touch on things that are rarely discussed in society in terms of death/loss. In the hopes that someone grieving can relate and not feel as alone. My hope is to remind people that everyone is going through something they don’t talk about, so be kind not only to others but yourself.

Thank you Tealovers, your support and love means more to me then you will ever know!
