Tom Clifford
Captain Tom is an electrical engineer from Newport Beach, California and holds a USCG Masters License with a Sailing Endorsement. He has extensive offshore yacht racing and cruising experience. After sailing together over a decade in Southern California, Tom and wife Dawn began a traveling lifestyle in 2010 when they sailed through the Panama Canal from California to Florida then later relocated to Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
Tom began his career as a lineman in Gig Harbor, WA. He moved back to SoCal after 10 years and founded Lido Engineering. He designed long range optical lenses, cameras and positioning systems for military and government security threat detection over White House airspace after 9/11. Also founded Poseidon Technologies, fulfilling security contracts for the US Civil Air Patrol, Dallas/Ft Worth Airport, Port of Los Angeles, Cerrejon Mines, Columbia and Straits of Gibraltar for the Guardia Civil Spain and the US Southern Border.
