SERMON NOTES:
- The Bible teaches ONE truth found in one person and that one person is Christ!
- Romans Chapter 1 Shows God’s wrath against the sinful human race. Romans 1:18
- Romans Chapter 2 explains God’s righteous judgment for the sin of all of us. Romans 2:15
- Chapter 3 he makes it clear how lost we are. Roman 3:10-11
- Romans 3:21-25a
- Chapter 4 explains this has been God’s plan from the beginning. Roman 4:21-25
- Chapter 5 answers the ending of chapter 4. Romans 4:25
- Chapter 5 can be broken into 2 parts
Verses 1-11 shows the blessings we have if we receive God’s gift of salvation resulting in Justification. 12-21 the bases of our justification
- The Blessing we receive in Christ when we are Justified
- We have peace with God Romans 5:1
- We have Access to God! Romans 5:2a
- We have hope Romans 5:2b
- We now have Christian character Romans 5:3-4
- God’s Love within 5:5-8
- Salvation from future wrath 5:9-10
- Reconciliation 5:11
- Why would anyone reject this and not accept this?
- 1 Corinthians 15:22, 45-49
- Romans 3:23
- Psalm 51:5
- In Matthew 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
- Through Adam all have sinned BUT through Jesus all can be made righteous
- Through Adam Judgment followed bringing condemnation BUT through Jesus the gift followed bringing justification
- Through the one man’s disobedience Adam made all sinners BUT through the one man’s obedience, Jesus will make many righteous.
- Sin increased, reigning in death BUT grace increased much more reigning in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
- John 1:12-13
