In this episode, Dr. Peter Lu and Dr. Jennifer Lee talk to Dr. Jacob Langer about Hirschsprung disease, including how to diagnose and treat the child with Hirschsprung disease who continues to struggle with constipation or fecal incontinence after surgery. Dr. Langer is a pediatric surgeon and for many years was the Chief of General and Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada. He is an internationally-recognized leader in the field and pioneered several surgical techniques and procedures that are widely used today in the care for children with Hirschsprung disease.
