Are you so focused on that next goal, that next mountaintop, that you forget to celebrate the victories you've had along the way, the mountains you've climbed prior? That were your goals when you first set out that you've accomplished now, but once you get to them, you almost forget they were your goals. You've already got your sights set on the next one. What did I want? To kind of hit on that and how important it is to recognize the goals that you've hit along the way and to celebrate those in your own way. Welcome back to the Elevate Media Podcast. I'm Chris Anderson, your host, and today we're talking about goals, not only goals, but specifically goals you've accomplished, goals you've reached along your journey of building a bigger business of you know, going full time in your business, getting your first client, whatever it is. We're going to dive into how, why this is so important to celebrate these victories, because you know it keeps us going, it reminds us where we've come from and you know that is something that sometimes I forget. You know, just recently I realized when I first started Elevate, you know I was praying about it. I was like Lord, you know I'd love to have, you know, a team under me, you know, helping me build this and do these things and these productions. So it's not just me. And you know, I'd love to be able to travel to and experience new places because of it. Three, four years ago, we just had our first out-of-state production in Columbia, south Carolina, a place I've never been, never gotten to experience until now with the business. And on top of that, I did it with two of my teammates. And on top of that, I did it with two of my teammates, my team members who've been along this journey with me for a little bit now, and then one new individual. It came true. You know, my prayer was answered, my goal was accomplished and I almost forgot about it. How many times have we had that happen? How many times have you, you know, accomplished something and just kind of let it be because you're so dead set on the next one, you forgot about it? Don't let that happen. These moments, they might seem small to someone else, they might have been accomplished by someone else way before us, but it's your goal that you accomplished. It's a big deal, that's a huge thing.

On your journey to building a bigger business, to elevating your life, to elevating your brand, don't miss those. Don't miss the chance to celebrate. You know, for me it was just taking the team to the beach because we were close, enjoying that time, you know, letting it sink in Like, look, I've got a team, I've got to work with other people who are passionate about helping businesses continue to elevate what they're doing through video. And now we're at this beautiful beach Going to eat great food and just hanging out after the production that they absolutely crushed. Don't let those slip away without taking it in, being grateful for those opportunities, those accomplishments, those milestones no matter how small you think other people might see them, they're huge along your journey. You know that first sale, that first client, that first trip because of the business, that first profitable month, the moment you could step out of your corporate nine to five to do full time in your business, first time you bring on a teammate, contracted W2, whatever it is, it doesn't matter you know that first positive review that you know just gives more power to what you're doing. All those, those are some goals that you could have had that now are coming true. So don't forget to look back when you started and the goals you set then, because I'm sure you've hit some.

Think about it right now, as you're listening to this, take a second. I'll give you a little bit of time. Think on some goals you started or you wrote down or you had when you first started this journey you're on right now. Think of those. Which ones have you accomplished that you have not given any thought or celebration to, because you're like, oh, you know, it's whatever. I need to get to that next thing. So take a little time and think about those. Pause this and come back to it once you've thought of them.

Now that you've thought of those goals and you've realized you've hit some of them without celebrating, what are you going to do to celebrate those, to take that in that milestone?

Is it, you know, just going to go have a nice dinner with your significant other? Is it allowing yourself, maybe, time to relax a little bit? What does that celebration look like for you? Is it, you know, just going out and cheering, you know, thanking God for what's happened? Celebrate it nonetheless, and in your own way, but don't let these moments slip by, because that's part of the journey, that's part of the fun, that's part of the fun, that's part of the excitement.

Every goal adds up to the next one, so enjoy them all on the way and give them their time, because you're going to have times that are not so good. But to be able to think back on the goals you've hit and what you've come through to hit those goals is going to help you keep moving forward. So I hope you continue on your journey with the goals you set now, the new ones that you're headed towards, and when you hit those goals, I hope you don't let them just pass by because you're too focused on that next mountaintop, and I hope you take a moment to relish in that you know well done that excitement and then keep moving forward.
