Hey, Jodine, welcome to the show today.

Speaker 2:

So, beyond my little introduction, just then, why don't you take a couple of minutes, geraldine, and introduce yourself and tell folks about the SpareWay?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, sure, so I am French, as you can hear, although I've been trying to hide this accent for such a long time. Now I run a well-being and marketing consultancy. Basically, I work with high performers, senior executives and founders and I help them create a fierce personal brand. But I take it from a different approach. We work first on the mindset and the energy before we dive into the strategy work.

Speaker 2:

And why do you love what you do, Geraldine?

Speaker 3:

Well, I've always been very passionate about energy work. My grandmother was a psychic, so I'd say I fell in the magic boat, since I was a little girl and I'm obsessed with communication and branding. Was a little girl and I'm obsessed with uh communication and branding. So I felt combining the two was the perfect opportunity for me to do something that I thoroughly enjoy and something I'm pretty good at as well there we go.

Speaker 2:

Uh, jodine's grandmother was a psychic. You didn't see that coming, did you listeners? So you um, you were presenting a couple of times, I understand at the uh world energy festival. It's the second world energy festival, in fact, in london on june 15th it's going to be at winwood and park. I'm delighted to be there myself. I will be involved with the disrupt session which is happening between two and three in one of the tents within winwood and park. So do come and check us out and watch the session with us. It would be lovely to see you there. Tell us about what session that you're leading at the festival.

Speaker 3:

So I'll be leading a breathwork and sound healing session over there, something I'm thoroughly enjoying because breathwork is so much more powerful when combined with healing, when sound healing. So I use Tibetan Bull, Christabull, but also super powerful playlists because I'm obsessed with music. It's a big part of my work. So, yeah, I'm really excited about this.

Speaker 5:

actually, Once in a while, an event series is born that shakes things up, it makes you think differently and it leaves you inspired. That event is Disrupt HR. The format is 14 speakers, 5 minutes each and slides rotate every 15 seconds. If you're an HR professional, a CEO, a technologist or a community leader and you've got something to say about talent, a CEO, a technologist or a community leader and you've got something to say about talent, culture or technology, disrupt is the place. It's coming soon to a city near you.

Speaker 2:

Learn more at disrupthrco. And why the Wollinger brand, jody? Why is that important to you? Maybe Take a step back. Tell our listeners a bit about the story behind Wellnergy and how you started working with Nick Steart and the team. Give them a bit of an overview. I think it's a wonderful brand. I'm super excited that we're going to be there this year. Tell them more, please.

Speaker 3:

So it's really interesting. So I live in Fulham in London and last year when they did the first session it was at Bonds, which is literally 10 minutes drive from where I live, but at this time I was myself running a retreat in Kambizan so I couldn't attend the festival, which I was pretty gutted about, because I always attend festivals, I love festivals. And then this year Nick contacted me on LinkedIn and I recognized his name because I was like oh my gosh, that's the guy who is the founder of WebEnergy. And he contacted me to run a breathwork session over there and so we met together and he realized I was also doing some work around marketing and branding. So we decided to work together on the strategic direction of the festival. But also, obviously, when he asked me to run a breathwork session, I said yes, and the reason for it is because it's a completely different kind of festival, something that hasn't really been seen before, if I'm really honest with you okay, okay.

Speaker 2:

So what can, what can folks expect there then? What sort of activities? What are the themes? Join a name, drop any brands. Tell us more yeah.

Speaker 3:

so, like I said, it's different festival because, first and foremost, it's open to kids. It's all around, uh, diversity, inclusion, mental health, um, you know, nick wanted to create a different kind of festival that was just not either very who who or for yogi or alcohol-free. He wanted something that is changing and revolutioning the way we think about mental health and the wellness industry. So there's going to be brands like Lush, coconut, collab, fabletics, also some I can't really disclose right now, but some really exciting. There's going to be a really big influencer like Steph Williams, the CEO of WeGlo, but also which also have launched a wellness app, alex Merton from Made in Chelsea, if you've followed his journey. So many amazing people that are going to be speaking there. Really, it's going to be super, super fun.

Speaker 4:

Thanks for listening to this episode of the HR Chat Podcast. If you enjoy the content we produce, we'd be super grateful if you could subscribe and follow us on social media. And now back to the show.

Speaker 2:

The lineup for the Disrupt session within the World Energy Festival has been announced, as has the general lineup, which is very, very impressive. There are a heck of a lot of names on there specifically around the Disrupt Session. For those who are in the London area and can join us, the speakers include my mate Chris Lovett, who's the leadership coach over at the NatWest Group. That's the bank. He spoke at Disrupt London gosh about a year ago. Sarah Hayes is the co-founder and director at Running on Empty. She's also the HR director at Securitas UK. Sunita Hans, who is an awesome human being. She's a nurse, end of life care at the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation. Bianca Irogo, who's the co-founder at human os uh, I think we might record an interview already. If so, check it out. If not, bianca, you and I should set that up. Uh, jonathan bray girl. He has spoken at a couple of events, I think in norwich and maybe birmingham.

Speaker 2:

Uh, russell robinson, my friend russell robinson. Uh, he's the program director and professional School of Public Affairs over at the American University. Russell's been on the HR Chat Show once or twice before. He is flying all the way over from the US via Belgium to join us for the Disrupt session. And finally, izzy Lajovo, who's spoken at Disrupt London and Disrupt Milton Keynes in the past. Who's also with the NHS for uplifting teens in the past. Who's also with the nhs? I will include a link in the show notes so folks can check out more about the wellness festival in london and also the one in manchester. Do check those out. Uh, geraldine, before we wrap up our conversation for today, how can our listeners connect with you and learn more about all the cool things you get up to?

Speaker 3:

so they can find me on linkedin and on instagram under Geraldine Spurway. I'm also on Facebook TikTok. I'm not sure really what I'm doing there, so don't even try. I've got my website as well, wwwthespurwaycom, but really the best way to reach out to me is to reach out through Instagram and LinkedIn. I'll be running some day retreats at the galley event on the 9th of june, one at trioga in camden as well on the 13th of july. Everything is on my bio on my social media excellent.

Speaker 2:

Well, that just leaves me to say for today geraldine, thank you very much for being my guest.

Speaker 3:

Thank you so much for having me, and I can't wait to see you there.

Speaker 2:

Yep, I'm super excited for it. Again, listeners, if you're in the London area and you can join us on June 15th for the WNJ Festival, please do. Or, if not, july 6th in Manchester, come up for that one instead, or you know what, come to both. It'd be lovely to see you there.

Speaker 1:

But instead, or you know what, come to both media and visit HRGazettecom.
