On today’s episode we have Director, Writer, and Producer of the Heal Documentary, book and summit, Kelly Noonan Gores. We talk about the kind of things we should allow into our bodies and then the role that stress plays in many people’s lives nowadays. Stress is a natural response our body has to deal with dangerous situations, but this state can put people into a vulnerable state where they’re more susceptible to disease and other ailments. We all bathe/shower every day to get rid of the gunk we’ve accumulated the previous 24 hours and our mind is the same way. We need to cleanse ourselves of the dirt in our heads to be in a better mental state. The placebo effect is a real thing where people are taking something that doesn’t have any effect on their bodies whatsoever, but because they believe it’s going to affect them, their bodies will react as if they were taking the actual thing. Doctors can have a large impact on the patient based on how positive or negative they are with the treatment the patient receives.

“Get your foundation as clean as you can, but then you gotta enjoy life. You have to have that, I mean it’s different for everybody, but if ice cream is your thing, if you have an ice cream cone, don’t freak out or stress out about it. Really enjoy it. That enjoyment of that experience that brings you so much pleasure and you do it once in a while, that’s not going to have a detrimental effect on your body because it can process that, but you gotta have that 80-90% of the time be really healthy nutrition dense food.” 10:17
