welcome to career growth made easy with Craig. And so I'm your host. In 2008 I became the victim of a riff or reduction in force. After nearly 12 years of dedicated service, 12 years of giving my life to a company, I no longer was a part of it. After the shock died down, fearful thoughts started to set in. How am I gonna pay my mortgage? How about our family's health insurance? How will we put groceries on the table? I realized I needed to get busy fast finding a job. I didn't happen. Updated resume. I didn't know how to draft a cover letter. And what if I were to get a job interview? I had a few concerns, to say the least. How would I prepare? What should I wear? Am I allowed to ask questions? If so, which are the right ones? How would I prepare for their questions? To obtain a full time job, I needed to get current and fast. That is where my passionate study began, including resumes and job interview techniques. After seven months of odds and ends jobs, including some very interesting night shifts, I landed a position in a Fortune 500 company. Since that fateful day, I have stayed current with winning resume trends, proven interviewing techniques studied and practiced high performance growth. And for several years I have coached high performance growth, benefiting people in their personal and professional lives.
