In this insightful episode Justin introduces a unique tool for shaping your future by reframing your past memories—a method he calls the “Mandala Effect Hack.” Inspired by George Orwell’s famous quote, “He who controls the past controls the future,” Justin discusses how memories may not be as fixed as we think. Drawing on examples from pop culture (and some humorous personal stories), Justin explains the Mandela Effect—where we collectively remember events incorrectly—and shows listeners how to apply a similar concept to change the way they recall personal events.
Using this method, Justin shares how to reinterpret past experiences in a positive, constructive light, ultimately allowing listeners to remove limiting beliefs tied to painful or embarrassing memories. This episode is for anyone who wants to take control of their future by freeing themselves from unhelpful past narratives.
Key Highlights:
•Orwell’s Insight on Memory: The quote, “He who controls the past controls the future,” and its impact on shaping personal history.
•The Mandela Effect Defined: Misremembered pop culture references and how collective memory often diverges from reality.
•Reframing Personal Memories: How we can apply a similar effect to reshape memories, moving past painful or limiting beliefs.
•The Mandala Effect Hack in Action: A step-by-step approach to “rewriting” memories to enhance self-belief and influence future outcomes.
•Using the Present to Transform the Past: Practical examples of how reinterpreting past events can lead to emotional growth and a brighter future.

In this episode, Justin explores the connection between physical pain, intuition, and emotional well-being. Opening with Albert Einstein's powerful quote, "The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift," Justin dives into how our modern reliance on logic can sometimes overlook the body's deeper signals.
Drawing from personal experience with a recent eye infection, Justin illustrates how physical discomfort may serve as more than just a symptom—it can be a reflection of emotional or mental strain. He references When the Body Says No by Dr. Gabor Maté, which examines the impact of stress on physical health, and Does Your Body Lie? by Luis Martins Simoes, which explores the body’s hidden messages. Justin also discusses Louise Hay's You Can Heal Your Life, a classic guide to understanding the mind-body connection.
This episode encourages listeners (after checking with their doctor) to embrace intuition and consider the possibility that their bodies may be guiding them toward healing beyond the physical. With tools like journaling and self-reflection, Justin shares how to pivot your pain into a path toward joy, ease, and fulfillment. Listen in to learn how to integrate both medical and intuitive approaches for a holistic view of health.

Key Takeaways:
Join me as I explore these critical issues, pick apart this article and share insights on how we can reclaim technology for the benefit of all. Let's create a world where technology enhances our lives rather than detracts from them.

What is that pain telling you?
Whether it's an ouchy muscle, a literal pain in the neck, frustration, or fear, there's often something that's causing us a bit dis-ease in our body when we stop to check-in. Often we view it as something to be overcome, fixed, or eliminated, but what if there's wisdom in this pain?
In this episode, I talk with Dr. Aidan Kinsella about the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional challenges and the growth and self-empowerment that can come through understanding our discomforts. We see it's not just about alleviating pain; it's an invitation to harmonize with life's rhythm, embracing change as an ally, and discovering the balance between certainty and adaptability.
Aidan is a Doctor of Chiropractic who has been practicing for 16 years. She founded the Verve Wellness Studio in 2008 in San Francisco. She practices a unique form of chiropractic called Network Spinal that uses gentle contacts along the spine to repattern the nervous system for a more efficient and energized expression of embodied authenticity. She works with clients at the intersection of nervous system health, embodiment, personal growth, and consciousness.
I’ve been working with Aidan for the past 8 months and the shift in my body and life have been amazing. Make sure to listen to the full episode because at the end we're guided through a simple yet powerful Somatic Respiratory Integration (SRI) breathing exercise that will leave you feeling more calm and connected with what's happening in your body, enhancing sleep and overall well-being.

What's the real cost of disruption in tech and personal growth? Can we get the benefits we want without the rupture, disorder, and upheaval that disruption causes? Yes! When we add two very important ingredients.
In this episode, I review the resulting disruptions we’ve seen from tech companies like Amazon in retail, Netflix in video rental, TV, & Movies, Uber with taxis, Airbnb with hotels, and Tesla with automotive, along with personal disruptions people attempt each day in the areas of Health & Fitness, Finances, Career, Relationships, and spiritual awakening.
The results are often disruptive, but are they actually beneficial? Time and time again we see that the answer ends up being “No”, but it doesn’t have to be this way. What’s the answer?
Intention and Attention
I explain more about this in the episode, so make sure you pay close attention so we can end the disruption caused by ignorance and laziness and enjoy the benefits and lives we desire.

Are we standing on the precipice of a revolution in human connection, or teetering on the edge of its demise?
We tackle this question head-on by looking at the Apple Vision Pro and Meta's Quest headsets as our guides. Picture a world where walking down the street or attending a meeting could be fundamentally altered by the technology we wear. This episode is not just about the headsets themselves, but also the philosophies that drive them—the spatial computing of Apple and the virtual realms of Meta—each with profound implications for our interactions, professions, and the very fabric of our relationships.
As our conversation unfolds, we'll contemplate the Star Trek holodeck's science fiction becoming our reality, where sensors and artificial intelligence morph our world in real time.
Imagine the potential transformation in fields like architecture and medicine, where augmented overlays could provide invaluable insights. Yet, with this power comes the question of intrusion: will we choose to intensify our reality with digital interference, or will we command technology to step back, allowing us to savor genuine human experiences?
Join us for a thought-provoking session that probes the delicate dance between embracing innovation and maintaining our humanity, all while considering how we might direct this technological symphony to enrich, rather than diminish, the essence of our daily lives.

Today we journey into happiness across continents and cultures with Nicole and Mickey in another joint show with the @MickeySDT podcast.
Mickey talks about how he’s struck by the candidness with which emotions are expressed in his native German Culture compared to the stark contrast to the American penchant for cloaking one's true feelings. Justin and Nicole chime in with travel stories from South Korea to Spain, touching with perceptions of joy and contentment.
Our chat turns to mindfulness and its role in the pursuit of happiness. Nicole opens up about her journey from skepticism to fully embracing life abroad. We unearth the joys found in the stillness of being truly 'here,' contrasting this with the American hustle and the Spanish prioritization of relationships.
We wrap up the show by delving into neuro-linguistic programming and self-love. It's a dance of words and ideas, where filling in the blank to "Being happy is ___ to me" reveals a spectrum of beliefs and aspirations. And as we touch on the transformative role of love in our lives, we leave you with practical wisdom to carry forward in your journey towards joy. So cozy up and let us accompany you on this adventure into the human quest for happiness.

That's the topic I'll be talking about today, but it won't be just me talking about it. In this episode, we're doing a little pod swap with the Mickey SDT Podcast with Co-hosts Mickey and Nicole.
Experience the enlightening journey as we chat about my story of going beyond just being an electrical engineer to also being a life optimization mentor, podcaster, and author.
