Podcast Paul:

Well, everyone, we have made it. We have made it to the in season tournament championship game. It's championship day for the cup. The cup is on the line in Vegas. Oh coach, how exciting are this right now. How happy are you as an NBA fan that we've made it to the cup championship we?

Coach Murph:

made it. But I felt like when you said that it's like the green made it, but we made it J2M's to the final tonight, 8, 30 pm. Eastern ABC Pacers vs Lakers. I love it, but if we really made it it would be green vs gold. But who predicted?

Podcast Paul:

who's on fire? Hey, I'm trying to stay humble here, trying to stay humble, but sometimes you can just see the future and the kid versus the king. It's happening. The young buck, halliburton, the guy that you called out and said watch out for this guy. The Pacers made it. I knew they would, and the Lakers made it. And here's what's really cool for these two teams Both of them were undefeated in all the in season games sorry, the in season tournament games. They haven't lost yet, wow. So whoever loses this game tonight, it's going to be their first loss. So here let's give a little golf clap, little golf clap. Yay Pacers, yay Lakers. And you know what I'm doing. A new shout out, a new shout out on the pod, and that's to a good friend of mine, brent from Indiana. He was on this podcast when we go way back. He was on here.

Speaker 3:

He was talking about his Pacers. He's talking Indy 500.

Podcast Paul:

Everything good, indiana. This is years ago now and we haven't talked about this guy. You know why? This is Hoops, we talk NBA and we talk about the good teams out there. Well, guess what? We got to talk Pacers. Now, man, we got to give them the props. So, brent, a little shout out for your Pacers, because I and you know what I'm going to give myself a correction. We're going to start off the pod with the podcast.

Coach Murph:

We're going to coach this corner. Let's go. We cue the drum kit in the funky bongos podcast. Let's go.

Podcast Paul:

Yes, we got to do this because, yeah, I can take all the credit for the Pacers and the Lakers making it to the final. We'll talk about. You know what I said and I think we got a clip out there but it really wasn't me picking the Pacers and Lakers. That wasn't my real take. My real take was boo-hooing the whole thing and how the real contenders aren't going to be there, it's just going to be the bums and these guys aren't even going to make the playoffs.

Podcast Paul:

Well, that's not cool, man, and I'm sorry, king, maybe I got to be careful what I say, because you know not to say I think the Lakers are the world beaters now and we'll get into them in a second. But we're talking Pacers right now and I do believe this is my correction, because I thought, oh, the Pacers are going to make it because they're really bums and they're really not going to do anything after this. I don't believe that. I think this is in season tournament is going to bring these guys, the Pacers, to the next level and I think we're looking at a top three seed all the way through April for this Pacers team. So that's my correction. We'll see if I'm right or wrong.

Coach Murph:

But correction because you're going to call you out about Triple P.

Coach Murph:

I'm calling Paul Gaspol. He's got so many aliases, but Triple P, now prediction podcast Paul, he's killing it right now. He's got Minnesota. He predicted they're on top, top of the west. He predicted that, okay, seed, they're number two, they're right up there together. So three great predictions, plus four really, if you Pacers, lakers this whole end season. So good job. Some other stuff we'll talk about, but I was going to call you up because you'd be prophetic, paul, prophetic podcast Paul, if you called, if you said the Lakers were going to make the playoffs. I don't think that's going to happen. I think the Lakers, like you just corrected, and Pacers, are going to be in the playoffs. They're looking. I believe it yeah.

Podcast Paul:

So you're wrong.

Coach Murph:

It was fun, though, and that sound by you did it was fun it was funny Tick tocks and dance. Yeah.

Podcast Paul:

And we will get to that in a second. Yeah, but I, this is where, hey, the NBA wins again. They win again because if this was last year or the year before, we'd be homing it right now. We'd be here for you folks. You know, just two Murphs are here, but the rest of you are like oh, november, december, basketball. We got a long way to April, but they did it. We're excited about basketball tonight, the only two teams playing or the championship in Vegas the Lakers and. Pacers, it's, and again like.

Coach Murph:

I know this game doesn't go towards the regular season.

Podcast Paul:

Listen, I'm drinking out of my NBA cup, my little tea, right here in celebration for the real calls.

Coach Murph:

Got a basket, half of a basketball cut cup like a, like a mug. It might be the real. Nba cup Cooper on it on the side of it. It's pretty cool looking.

Podcast Paul:

So we can make all the jokes. The NBA cup oh, they're gonna get this championship. It means nothing. But again, the correction I think it does help both of these teams get that confidence that they were lacking until this tournament. That is going to take him to the next level.

Coach Murph:

So tons of benefits from this.

Podcast Paul:

There's my correction.

Coach Murph:

So we're still in the corner For first time listeners. I am the younger brother, michael Murphy, of Paul Murphy and he has podcast Paul. You can call him many things. We can call him Puerto Rican P, we can call him prediction. We're prediction Paul. Now I'm coach Murph and this is just two Murphs talking hoops. Baby. Welcome in. Thanks for listening. We're still in the corner. We're the correction corner right now. I have to make a few of mine. I already fixed on social media Grandville. They're playing today at two other playing now two thirty second game Congratulations. Grandville, west Michigan, with my boy, caden, our boy. We're on a journey with him and they won on Tuesday night. They're one and, oh, they're playing now. I'm going to see that game. That's on YouTube. They're doing the game, so I get to watch him and we get to talk about his game.

Podcast Paul:

Awesome man. He'll be on the pod again soon.

Coach Murph:

Yep, thanks for following, and that's what it's all about. We're going to see Caden on the show, and the first show in 2024. Caden's going to be on there with us. We'll talk about how he's doing with his team. So I said West Virginia. There's the correction. Well, I was just. I just slipped, I wasn't thinking and I joked about it, but it's West Michigan, where Grandville is, and West Michigan ballers is also a site on Instagram. These guys, they do some cool stuff. I've been learning on their site there and what else I want. I wanted to apologize to the green machine. Personally, I didn't really do that last night. Okay, coaches, what?

Podcast Paul:

are you apologizing for? You're all about the green. We're saying that they I was.

Coach Murph:

So I was like setting myself up for just expecting them to work, to be tired. They're not never going to get a ring. But I was saying that the Jays would just them too, and and a few others would not would be able to do it. We are getting a ring. So I was wrong about the cup and the ring. The cup and the ring we wanted. Right, we're just getting what matters the most the ring, chuck. Chuck is loud and proud right now about the green. We are going to win. Poor Zingas, we'll get out of the. The coaches, corrections. There's nothing more really to talk about. We'll probably think of things, but we'll get out of the corner now. Yeah, we can talk about maybe a little bit about the Celtics. Up to you where you want to go, but I just want to say why.

Podcast Paul:

I think, of course, we should just really put a bow on. Maybe not put a bow on, but talk a little bit about the championship game tonight.

Coach Murph:

I think we should get to that.

Podcast Paul:

Yeah, let's get into it, we got to apologies out.

Coach Murph:

But then we'll talk, then we'll desert. Dessert will be the more NBA and some green yeah, more NBA.

Podcast Paul:

What's going on with the league? All that good stuff.

Coach Murph:

So green frosting on the, yeah, on the in season there's going to be lots of green frosting. There always is, there always is, go ahead.

Podcast Paul:

Where you want to go. So let's just talk about the knockout round in general before this championship. Again, now that these two teams are here, both of them didn't lose in the in the group play, right, and obviously they didn't lose in the knockout because they're in the championship. So one of them is going to have their first loss. Are you surprised, other than me making my prophetic prediction here? Are you surprised that both these teams are in the final?

Coach Murph:

Not Well, I recall the Pacers too. Like I, we did all over the Pacers. Yeah, I was just, but I did. We're all happy. It's a bit surprising to see them to. Not the Lakers so much because he's never count of the king, but like Tyrese, I'm happy for him because he just broke out.

Podcast Paul:

It's what I want to talk about. I mean, there's not many players that everybody takes a leap. Are you waiting for that one player on your team that's got star potential to take a leap? This is different. Yeah, this dude is leaping all the way up and the question is, is he turning into a star? Is he an actual star?

Coach Murph:

Well, it just rose. Yes, Paul, like he's already, we can go into let's just go into Tyrese's lap. Yeah, he was dominant. We can just do a little Tyrese quiz if you'd like.

Podcast Paul:

Let's do it, man, let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.

Coach Murph:

Pop secret quiz. Pop quiz, here we go, let's go All right, tyrese Halliburton quiz. Here we go Jack after the game, after he wins it, gets to the finals. They beat the box, all right. They go on the panel and Jack calls him trade, trade in the face. Everybody is marking on Jack because of that. His first name is Tyrese. It was just a good kid man, good family. We've been seeing him come up. But do you know Paul Caspar?

Podcast Paul:

question one I got to you so well on this quiz, because I don't know a lot about it. What?

Coach Murph:

number is Tyrese on his jersey 11.

Podcast Paul:

Zero and who else rocks the zero? Oh, Gilbert Arenas. Gilbert Arenas rocks a zero. Oh, you mean with current players, obviously. Come on Jason Tatum.

Coach Murph:

That's what I wanted to say. But Gilbert to the zero? Yeah Right, but I don't think.

Podcast Paul:

Halliburton picked his number. I'm sorry, that's where I thought the question was going. He wears number zero, and why did he pick it?

Coach Murph:

Yeah Well, I don't actually not know that question and for that quiz we'll look into why he's zero. Okay, Do you know where he's from? By?

Podcast Paul:

the way, sorry to take your quiz off the rails a little bit.

Coach Murph:

All right, man, we can pause the quiz.

Podcast Paul:

No, no, no, no, we're continuing. But back on that Jason Tatum zero thing. Yeah, the reason why Gilbert Arenas popped in my head. I just saw an interview with him where he said the reason why he wears zero is because of Gilbert Arenas. Tatum, I had no idea.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, I heard of that. I want to know about Tyrese's zero.

Podcast Paul:

I didn't know if Hal Burton was the same thing. I didn't know Gilbert Arenas was the guy that everybody wanted to emulate, but he was nice he was nice.

Coach Murph:

It was kind of a disappointment. But how old is he? When was he born?

Podcast Paul:

And they've been talking about this because Well, I have an idea, because I did hear him talk about how LeBron's is his idol and he said he goes. Well, all of us who are born in the 2000s Exactly LeBron is our idol, so he's definitely in the 2000s.

Coach Murph:

I got that going no well, no, no, the year 2000.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, OK, yeah, there we go, so he's 23.

Coach Murph:

He said all the guys are born in the year 2000.

Podcast Paul:

Year 2000. I'll take it.

Coach Murph:

He's yeah, so he's born, he's 23. So it's kind of help me out with that ding ding, but I'll take it Talking about the calves and how LeBron was his like you know hero, so it's a very storybook for him. He's six five 185. Where do you?

Podcast Paul:

go to college.

Coach Murph:

Tough ones, this is where I don't get to know our. I know we got to get to our new superstar.

Podcast Paul:

I got to know this guy. I got a guess on this one, but you never know, it just came to me. I'm just throwing it out there in North Carolina.

Coach Murph:

Iowa State Cyclones. Yeah, would never.

Podcast Paul:

Yeah, coming out of Iowa State?

Coach Murph:

Very rare. What year was he drafted into the NBA? Good stuff. I'll stop in the production.

Podcast Paul:

No, no, no, no, no, I would say 2020.

Coach Murph:

No, ding, ding ding. Let's go back. You're here, he is here, so he is him, he is him, he totally is him. 2020 NBA draft what overall pick and what?

Podcast Paul:

team. He Well, I mean obviously the Pacers. I mean he hasn't been Not obviously.

Coach Murph:

Oh, it's trade things I got you. Another one of those little trade things, those things.

Podcast Paul:

All those things Helping hand on the quiz here, Okay, it's in the West Western team.

Coach Murph:

They won last night, so I'm going to say he was drafted number 10. Close at 12.

Podcast Paul:

It's good, though. That's a good. That's a good. If it was in the West, I'm going to go. Who would do it A swap? Well, carlisle, rick Carlisle, the coach of the Pacers, used to be the coach of the Mavericks. So I'm going to say Dallas. I tried.

Coach Murph:

I read the beam of light shall come down, oh wow, the Kings. The second.

Podcast Paul:

Wow.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, man yeah.

Coach Murph:

And then, and then he was traded with a pocket oh, that's right, that was a big deal where he was like, oh, how did you trade me so bonus and company?

Podcast Paul:

I got about that yeah. That was last year Right.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, 2023. Yeah, this was actually.

Podcast Paul:

Was it last year or the year before?

Coach Murph:

No, no, it was 2022. You're correct.

Podcast Paul:

Correct Now. I remember it because he made a big stink, Like you know, telling the Kings oh, you're going to, you know you're going to regret this. I'm going to show you, Wow, All right and as, and he did.

Coach Murph:

he had as rookie he was all rookie first team honors. He had a good, decent rookie season. He was a big player in the 19 honor FIBA gold medal team. Yeah yeah, usa, he was a big part of that. He was the main, the main factor in them winning that on the Pacers. He did well, he did. I'm just going to move into last year.

Podcast Paul:

What some of the stuff last year he was in all star. I think he's been all yes.

Coach Murph:

Ding, ding, ding, ding ding. You got the answer for the question.

Podcast Paul:

Don't even need the question anymore. Boom, boom. Yes, he was an all star.

Coach Murph:

And then he got a great huge contract extension for 20, 23 to 20, 24, 260.

Podcast Paul:

How many years, how many years? He locked in Five years.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, he's a July 1st 2023. He agreed to the max contract extension of the Pacers. He is earning it. He's been awesome. He's been awesome and the main reason why how many turnovers has he had in the last? Let's just say, the big goose egg zero. Ding, ding ding ding, ding.

Podcast Paul:

Oh man Going to the whole reason why I love this kid, obviously how does that feel like to be a fan of a superstar player that does that, scores points, that does triple doubles and doesn't turn the ball over? Man, that must, that must be nice. What other player in the NBA would be like that? Hmm, sorry, jason, sorry, jaylin Well there is somebody out there that quietly does his thing.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, hmm, is big man.

Podcast Paul:

Maybe the Joker.

Coach Murph:

Yes.

Podcast Paul:

Is that a quiz question? I don't know. Oh no, it's not.

Coach Murph:

The quiz is over.

Podcast Paul:

All right.

Coach Murph:

We did good, we had fun.

Podcast Paul:

I think the biggest thing with this kid, though. For me he's just fun to walk. He's got that, that aura around him or that like you want, you want to root for him, type of thing.

Speaker 3:

I mean Steph. I mean Steph is the champion chips, we're all sick of. Steph.

Podcast Paul:

Curry. But in the beginning, in the early days of Steph Curry, everybody loved the guy. He's a likable guy and nobody can guard him right now. Dude, I mean you saw against the Celtics 15 assists.

Coach Murph:

You know what he's doing, dude, I'll play.

Podcast Paul:

Jason Tatum. No one can guard him. And then against the Bucks I don't know I was guarding him, but they, you know, he's up there throwing up a three to ice a game and then doing what time is it? It's my time Like throwing shoes Dean Lillard, unbelievable.

Coach Murph:

Not dame time, nope, no, not dame.

Podcast Paul:

Well, we can get into that, but they're doing just fine in the east. Well, here's my other thing with the Pacers. So that was all about Hal Burton. He's a star, he's exciting and I think he is going to take him to do something after this in season tournament throughout the season. But how about our guy Aaron Neesmith?

Coach Murph:

What, yeah, Green law? We haven't talked about that in the season yet, I don't even think we brought it up yet. The green law, the sixth degrees of separation we always go back to the green, so he was on our squad. You know no another green law who was part of that trade for Tyrese Tristan Thompson Green law.

Speaker 3:

He was in that Sabonis package.

Coach Murph:

It was always the green law that brings us some bad memories.

Podcast Paul:

But Neesmith, I don't remember him with his chip on his shoulder, this attitude. I don't remember him ever playing like this. He's locking up guys. He was locking up Dame against Milwaukee but he's a big reason why they're in the final tonight. Obviously, hal Burton is a star, but Neesmith has been a huge piece for them. Huge, yeah, that whole team man. They're playing with such confidence. It's exciting. But but they're going up against the King, who I was talking all sorts of trash on I don't even know where came with. By the way, coach, coach, I, you know, I had to listen back to the pod. I'm like, well, where did this come from? I mean, obviously I'm a Celtics fan. Resentment. Well, yeah, I mean I'm a Celtics fan, so it just comes in annoyance.

Podcast Paul:

Yeah, against the Lakers, and there's that, that underlying thing with LeBron. But I got to let it go, man, because we got to, we got to appreciate this 40 years old man.

Coach Murph:

It's fun, though you were having fun, see, now he came back to reality. It's fun to use a little tip. He's going to take talk. He's going to do a dance and take dog, have a cigar, pants around with a trophy.

Podcast Paul:

It's funny.

Coach Murph:

All the Yankee fans will do that. See, we do that, yankee and LA. That just came out.

Podcast Paul:

It's hard to picture at this point, with everything that LeBron's done for the NBA recently. Right, you got in the 80s, it was Magic Bird, then he had Michael Jordan, but really it's been LeBron the last 20 years what he's done for the NBA. He's won championships 21 seasons. He's won MVPs. It is really hard to picture in my mind right here as we sit on this podcast and this thing's going to be played after it's over everyone. So we'll see if we're right or wrong but it is hard to picture in my mind that we're here in Vegas, all the LA fans have come out for this. He's got everything else in his name that I just mentioned, that he's not going to have his name on the inaugural NBA Cup.

Coach Murph:

Cup. Yeah, it's just the cup or no cup.

Podcast Paul:

It'll be cool for him to get it as much as I want Halliburton and the kid to upset the king, can you see the king losing? Is he losing tonight? Probably not. No.

Coach Murph:

But he has help. Everybody needs help. He's got the help. We'll talk about that in a second.

Podcast Paul:

Can I make a funny now?

Coach Murph:

Enough all this Corrections, you can make a funny.

Podcast Paul:

I'm not upset and respect. Okay, I got it. I got to get it out. There it's happening. He's winning the cup. There's gonna be Laker fans all over Vegas. It's gonna be so annoying, but here's what's gonna happen, folks Christmas day. Christmas day, the Celtics, the Boston, our Boston Celtics. They're not gonna be in Boston, folks. No, they're gonna be in LA, la la land, playing the Lakers on Christmas day. And you know exactly what's gonna happen. We all can see it. Before the game they're gonna have a throne, there's gonna be this big throne and all this smoke and LeBron's gonna be on there holding the cup and he's gonna be drinking the cup, and then they're gonna have a banner. They're gonna have a banner. Come down, we did it.

Speaker 3:

We did it.

Podcast Paul:

We won the in season championship, so I came full circle, folks.

Coach Murph:

Can you have a huge, big turkey?

Podcast Paul:

They're gonna go over the top with this championship, where we're all gonna be nauseated, we're all gonna be sick, but it ain't gonna matter, because on Christmas day, the zing, the zing that makes us all feel zingy and sad.

Coach Murph:

Zing, the zing that makes us sing Poor zing is Christophe Poorzinger.

Podcast Paul:

Jason Tatum, jaylen Brown, the unsung hero, the MVP, derek White. Who'd I forget? I didn't forget you, drew. I didn't forget you either. And Sam, good old Sam, bam, bam, bam. Big Al, we're gonna crush you. Don't forget about Luke. Take your cup, I'm gonna take your cup, and throw that on the ground. Don't forget fast, pp All right, I had to get that out. I'm good now.

Coach Murph:

All right, little prediction. He is triple P. So a little quick prediction from Paul Gaspar about South East being LA on Christmas day in LA, I love it.

Podcast Paul:

So I moved on. But just okay, we are putting the bowl on the NBA championship in season tournament. It's happening tonight in Vegas. It has been cool, it's a different court. The NBA wins again. I think it's great that they're getting the young team versus the old team. But then we cannot move on with our lives right, it's gonna be over tonight. We actually have no NBA again on Sunday. So one game tonight, no games tomorrow, to just give ourselves a little bit of a breather. But then let's move on. You ready to move on? No?

Coach Murph:

Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on.

Podcast Paul:

You're not ready to move on from the inside.

Coach Murph:

No, we can.

Podcast Paul:

No, I wanna put a bow on it. So what do you?

Coach Murph:

got. I just wanna say that they have to have it, can't just be James and Halliburton. Okay, the back like. We got for the Lakers man, the Pacers have Miles Turner. I just wanted to give props to Mr Hollywood. Yeah, yeah man.

Podcast Paul:

Do you see that? That was awesome. He's like Mr.

Coach Murph:

Hollywood's guys wearing no T-shirt.

Podcast Paul:

He's wearing sunglasses With no blazer. No.

Coach Murph:

T-shirt and he's like that was a great Him. And Tyrese having fun. Tyrese saying that. But they also have Brown Bruce Brown Jr. You know Buddy Heald Toppin. You know they're doing what they Neesman Like you said Neesman.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, jackson, they have a good, and we know what they did against the Bucks. The Bucks put up numbers, man. The GRIP scored 37 on that game, middleton had 20. Lowe Pass 18, lillard 24. They had a game, man, and the pace was still out. I'll play it on man, but, and then the Lakers Namest View that you know on the team, I mean obviously.

Podcast Paul:

Well, it's all about it. It all comes down to AD. If AD shows up like AD should Anthony Davis. They're formidable. That's what we've been saying about this Lakers team the last two years. That's why we diss on them so much. It's really not the king you just can't have Hold on.

Coach Murph:

Hold on, I'm dissing anything You've been dissing.

Speaker 3:

I don't diss.

Coach Murph:

I haven't done any dissing yet. You've been. I'm all over.

Podcast Paul:

LeBron and his ticker You're all over the Fakers. Ellie.

Coach Murph:

Fakers, so you just want to do it.

Podcast Paul:

That's all right. You can't. That's why we have fun.

Speaker 3:

BLA.

Coach Murph:

BLA.

Speaker 3:

Come on man.

Podcast Paul:

But the fact of the matter is, if you're gonna have success all the way to April and into the playoffs, you can't have your 40-year-old guy be the only guy. Oh, and Anthony Davis needs to be the guy, and he has stepped up in this tournament, so you need him. But then you got Austin Reeves. There you go.

Speaker 3:

Russell you got, russell you got.

Coach Murph:

Christie, you're Prince, so they have to all be playing solid team basketball. It's all about bench ball. You're a squad and I love our little bench. We got in Pritchard, pritchard, luke and Sam coming off the bench. It's fun, but yeah, that's it.

Podcast Paul:

So you're excited about the game tonight. Then the bow should.

Coach Murph:

What's that? You're excited, you're ready for. Absolutely 100% 830 Saturday night, let's go.

Podcast Paul:

Spotlights on the NBA, and it's only December 9th.

Coach Murph:

You've seen my Instagram story. They've been out of their minds. It's hilarious. The big basketball hoop on top of that, the skyscraper there. Is that AI or is that real? I think this is all real because Vegas is over the top. I don't know if anything is real anymore like that. No, that was real.

Podcast Paul:

They planned that Vegas and NBA and that was cool stuff, and all joking aside, usually this time of year we're searching. Like dude the season just started and really, the season doesn't start till Christmas Day. Christmas Day matchups is when we start talking about it. It's December 9th and everybody's excited about this, so it is cool.

Coach Murph:

And it's cold out. It's been real cold at home, bro. Today was turned, the temp went up, but yeah, it's that time that low. So it's brought some new, fresh, new energy in. And I just wanted to put the finish with the bow. I give him the gold bow, braun. Let's give him his respect. 21 years he just passed in February Karim Aldojibar for the all-time leading scorer. He's had one of the most prolific careers in any sports. He looks great. This was Zeke. The way he moves, it's incredible.

Podcast Paul:

And we'll see a Christmas Day, whether it's just going to be a regular regular season game. Boston. L8 never is just regular but if it's just or it's us playing the end season champions. We'll see yeah.

Coach Murph:

And then hopefully they'll do something with the weird rules when everything's next year, when they all tie in the point differential thing, it was a bit much. And Drew Holly, our guy who I love, our general, who hasn't even found his true identity on the team which we'll talk about, said it's a disrespect to the game when we're up 25. It feels weird when you're up 25. It's disrespectful to your opponent. Also, it's a recipe for disaster. Your players can get injured. The bench needs to get time. The bench needs to come in there and play. So it's just that they hope they can fix something about that, because that's the only problem the players were having was the time.

Speaker 3:

It's been fun man, it's weird rules.

Podcast Paul:

It's going to be weird without it, differential.

Coach Murph:

But, there it is.

Podcast Paul:

There it is, and then we have a rest day on Sunday and then, finally, we are back to just regular season ball. So let's take a look at it right now, coach. Right now we got Boston Celtics number one in the east by one and a half games over Orlando and in the West you said it earlier and I've been talking about it actually the best record in the NBA, not just the best in the West, but in the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves, that's right 17 and four, and there are three games on my Oklahoma City Thunder.

Coach Murph:

I know you're on fire, buddy. You call that way early, you like all.

Speaker 3:

I went back to the preseason pot.

Coach Murph:

It was like October 7th or something and you were nailing that. I was like what? So good job.

Podcast Paul:

They had another big win last night the Thunder. They beat the Well. Was it though? Was it a big win, because you know who they won against in overtime? We think it was a big win because they beat the Warriors, but the Warriors is this going to be a hot take? They stink now. They might not even make the playoffs. Right now. They're in 11. Seven and a half games out. We've been in 12.

Coach Murph:

It's only a 16 out of the 30 teams make it the top eight teams make the playoffs.

Podcast Paul:

So they have the playing game, remember.

Speaker 3:

So the seven to 10 will play for the one game and don't forget the Miami Heat last year.

Podcast Paul:

They were in that game and they ended up going to the Eastern Conference final. So we can't poo poo seven to 10. They're not even in the seven to 10. They're in the 11 spot and they're just getting older by the day. And Dreymond, I don't want to do a Dreymond thing, I've moved on. That was last year. But dude enough, like chill. Ok, you're old and it's over. Sorry, buddy.

Coach Murph:

Do you see the recent stuff about the 2004 Detroit Pistons, rashid Wallace. He said he's a bully because of us. He grew up in the locker room with us and that's why. So he's like doing a funny apology. Sorry world, he was on like a forgot what podcast, but he said it was because of Rip Hamilton. It was him who else was on that team?

Speaker 3:

Ben Wallace speaking Ben.

Podcast Paul:

Wallace, they're bullies, he's like now that you've brought up, we taught him that Everybody knows just to, merse is probably the most highly regarded basketball pod out there, and then the multiverse. But, that being said, there are real NBA players, lots of them now that have podcasts.

Coach Murph:

And I guess we should do it. Everybody and their mother has a podcast about candles. The popcorn basketball dude In our hoop, universe Hoop yeah.

Podcast Paul:

But I do want to do a shout out to our guys Ticket and Truth. So the question to you oh, I love that Tonight. Sorry we did a bow on it, but I got to go back real quick.

Coach Murph:

No, we are.

Podcast Paul:

Are you going to watch the game or are you going to watch the live feed of Ticket and Truth Watch?

Coach Murph:

the game. I'm watching the game.

Podcast Paul:

I'm not hoping the truth is going to calm down this year.

Coach Murph:

He was a little off the learn. He was fine. He's in Vegas.

Podcast Paul:

He's in Vegas. So, Truth, be careful.

Coach Murph:

Truth does what the truth wants to do, and Paul is just bring it down a couple of notches.

Podcast Paul:

buddy, we love you.

Coach Murph:

But they have great insight. I love hearing them talk. They they got the the Kraken the Kraken award for like somebody that's not really it's like really good player, but just not like a superstar, like they have like Malik Kraken Monk, like they are great. But I just want to talk a little about the Celtics, real quick.

Podcast Paul:

All right, man, about the way we'll talk.

Coach Murph:

There's tons of games that happened last night Tons, yes. So the Celtics won that game. Why the Zings back baby?

Podcast Paul:

Like never lost.

Coach Murph:

No, like never skips.

Podcast Paul:

Well, no, no, no, two reasons. Yes, chris stops, it was back. Oh, and I was saying before he filmed a little Zingy inside. It just feels great. The team, by the way, the team I got a stat for you. Do you know the Boston Celtics? As we sit, on December 9th, when they have their top five, which includes poor Zingis in the lineup, their record is 11 and one.

Coach Murph:

Wow, I didn't know, they don't lose. So they really haven't had the full squad Also we're also 10 and 0 at home, Still undefeated baby.

Podcast Paul:

Yep, so he's. He's a big differentiator, difference maker we saw last night. But the other big thing, and he's been a theme for years and his haircut is fresh.

Coach Murph:

Oh, he's shaved down. Beautiful bald head of yours, mr D White. Trade of destiny, dubbed on J2M's 30, 30 rack baby Drop in 30 points. He's amazing. Why did he drop 30 points? So why did he? Well, he was hitting a lot of threes, because it opens up to him now that Zingis is back. Yeah, game opens up.

Podcast Paul:

There you go, and everybody played well last night. What's weird was that ejection by Jalen Brown.

Coach Murph:

That was weird, but we're having a weird year with the refs. I'm trying to let it go, yeah doing.

Podcast Paul:

But you know the good news, the old Celtics would have let that get to their head and they would have lost that game. Yeah, they held it together. They almost did, but then they put it together and they ended up winning by like 10 points Again. By the way, I mean, I love Jalen Brunson. Yeah and Julius Randall is kind of cool and they got in quickly. Actually is pretty decent, but I'm not a big believer in the mix dude.

Coach Murph:

No, I told I'd say they're going to do good. They might make like the eighth, like the eighth spot or whatever for the playoffs, you know, but it's the three is Randall, brunson and Barrett. Rj. Barrett's been doing work, dude, he's a forward, and he dropped 23. But what I love about the game against the Knicks is the reason, the only reason and if we don't do this we're not going to win is what we talked about before with Mr Tyrese Halliburton what, what? If we just if we correct this, we win.

Podcast Paul:

Turnovers, oh, turnovers. It just tells you how talented our group is. Because they have so many turnovers every game, we get excited, like last night. What do they have? I'm gonna guess I'm not even looking at the stats I'm gonna say 10.

Coach Murph:

No, but even better. That's what I told you. I said if we go 10 or lower, I want the single digit rule. I say it's the 10 rule. Like you can have over 10 turnovers.

Podcast Paul:

But we're excited. They had seven turnovers Last night. I was so happy.

Coach Murph:

That's like zero for them it was I know they were actually at five and I was like this is incredible. There you go.

Podcast Paul:

But that was good Because against the.

Coach Murph:

Pacers. They had almost 20. And the Knicks had 13, but it's seven turnovers, so you're only as good as your last game. Let's go Build on that. It's really easy.

Coach Murph:

You know why you know who's been a great example? Mr Halliburton? Maybe, mr Halliburton, because everybody's like zero turnovers, zero turnovers. He's being a good example. This young, 23 year old champion Soon to be having the cup. Ooh, I'm calling him getting the cup. Let's go get the cup, kid. But yeah, we win when our turnovers are down, are down on belief, below 10. And that's the game, man, yeah it's-.

Coach Murph:

And here's another part of the game. Sorry, Paul, yeah, no, no, can't you go? This is the last thing I want to talk about that. And then, why do you have to shoot 47 three-pointers in the game? There's so many 47. Is that how much they had last night? They shot 47 threes and they made 19 of them. So it's 40%. So that's pretty good, but still it's like you're throwing 47 points.

Podcast Paul:

Well, I will say, hold on on that I will say this as much as we don't like what happened against the Pacers in that first half of that game. They were in the paint, they were crushing them actually in the first half in the paint, yeah, and guess who scored the first eight points.

Coach Murph:

They weren't relying on who scored the first eight points? Zing.

Podcast Paul:

I'm talking about the game previous against the Pacers. Oh, we were playing the Pacers, but we weren't relying on the three, and we actually were up in that game and we were playing well in the first half the Pacers just locked us up. Yeah, but I don't even care.

Coach Murph:

There's no poor Zingas, no Zing, no ring, ding, ding, ding, ding ding ding.

Podcast Paul:

No way I like it, dude. We got it. Zing ring ding, that's the new mantra. All right, that's it, we got it.

Coach Murph:

We got the rhyming going. We got the t-shirts going. Let's go, man.

Podcast Paul:

Well, you know what, as I look at the Eastern Conference right now, with the top four I really don't excuse me, top five Do you really see that changing right now? The magic, the mighty magic, they're killing it, they're playing great the Bucks they're going to be there. Let's just be honest the Sixers are the Sixers, and better this year because they got rid of Harden and we just talked about the Pacers Do you know, on the mat, I like the quits, so if I'm the Cavs, if I'm the Knicks, if I'm the Nets, oh man, the Miami Heat man.

Podcast Paul:

I know we never want to diss the Heat.

Coach Murph:

They're garbage right now. Sorry, ted, they're out, that's another- oh, shoot, that was the correction I wanted to go to. Maybe do a little quick chime again. No, no, the chime sound effect is for when we go back in time and we put a clip in there. You go.

Podcast Paul:

The corrections are right here the Funky Bongos.

Coach Murph:

I love my Funky Bongos. Thank you for that. Maybe a little quick bongo for the coach. I forgot to say that. That correction. What were we just talking about?

Speaker 3:

We talked about the Heat. I just forgot. Oh yeah, we all forgot.

Podcast Paul:

The Eastern Conference.

Coach Murph:

Finals. I said that the Salters were going to play them. I slightly put that in there. No way, the EFC, ecf.

Podcast Paul:

But what you?

Coach Murph:

say I wouldn't just go up there. Eastern Conference Finals.

Podcast Paul:

They always fall into that trap.

Coach Murph:

No, not this year. Sorry, ted, it's just not happening. In the East it's a whole new bag, and then out West man.

Podcast Paul:

I mean, we're always talking about the West being deep. But, dude, like I just said earlier, we're always talking about the East being deep and we're always talking about the East being deep. And I think we're talking about the East being deep, we're talking about the East being deep, we're talking about the East being deep, so I'm going to ask you to put that up.

Coach Murph:

Just put the whole list of three games that you're taking. I'm going to throw you in with the Thunder now, and then Dallas is four games out.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, you see, kyrie got hurt last night, by the way. Yup, you're a boy.

Coach Murph:

And then he, edwards, is hurt. You know what? Ant man, yeah, green.

Podcast Paul:

You got a second. Now the way we're- on the zoom platforms.

Coach Murph:

We get to see each other one. One day you get to see our video, not just with our wonderful audio, but he, he had bruised the tip. They called it a hit pointer injury. It's just a bruised tip. He, like foul, is bruised up.

Podcast Paul:

OK before.

Coach Murph:

So he was out, they still killed it, they still won. You know, without him.

Podcast Paul:

And then you get the nugs. The nugs are for game. They're tied with Dallas, so you got Dallas Last night.

Coach Murph:

They lost.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, Dallas, Denver and LA. There I am saying LA stinks. No, they're right in the mix, dude.

Coach Murph:

No, they're right. That's why Good job, I'll call you out about that. They're going to make the playoffs, man.

Podcast Paul:

And then dude, and then you got feet. I mean it's real bunched up the tip that you know.

Coach Murph:

but to the mighty magic, do you know about the Wagner connection? Little quiz no.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, I think he played for the Celtics. The Greenlaw no both.

Coach Murph:

Wagner's. Here's another quiz. Oh, the pop quiz, quick quiz. All right, who did this for this one question? I love, we love my coach Murph's one question quizzes. Who did? There's two Wagner's on the team. Do you know their names?

Podcast Paul:

Moe.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, moree.

Podcast Paul:

They're both on the magic, the mighty magic.

Coach Murph:

And are they related? Yes or no? Who's? Who's the other? Wagner. There's a Wagner to put up numbers last night.

Podcast Paul:

Moe, Moe, Moe, and there's another Wagner. Oh, I don't know.

Coach Murph:

Oh, and he's a brother his younger brother, franz Franz, yes, what are you from? Germany, like Hans and Franz Going to pump you.

Podcast Paul:

Man the magic he dropped like 24 or something like that.

Coach Murph:

Last yesterday Hold on, let's look at that. He played ball. They're brothers, the younger brother, franz. No, he's been doing work. He's a good player. I'm looking up and trying to find that game. Where is it? Yeah, there they are. One, 23. They played the pistons, poor pistons. Oh my gosh, detroit, two and 20. Yeah, I was there. Yeah, so what do they do for? Let me see the player starts here Bam, yep, 27. Like coach said, man still Wow, yep, drop 27. And then Bancero Bancero is the former rookie of the year yes, 24. They have a squad man, they have a few players, the mighty magic, 15 and 7. Yep, what else? Games? We just go through the games last night a little bit more. There's a whole bunch of them. What are you looking at?

Podcast Paul:

Well, kyrie, like is Kyrie. Oh yeah, he got hurt.

Coach Murph:

He's. It's not a serious injury, but they're not going to do anything. It's just him and Luca. Oh, speak, Luca. I got one more surprise quiz for him.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, ok, but just because you're feeling. Dallas huh, even though they're starting to start, they don't have enough damage.

Coach Murph:

Even Luca is amazing. He's a top player in the NBA top three four for me. He just dropped triple, triple doubles easily. He's they don't. They don't have enough depth. It's not happening. It's all depth, it's all bench. But yeah, the Rockets beat the Nuggets, as you know, man we haven't even talked Nuggets.

Podcast Paul:

And that's what makes me that's what makes me nervous, this, this, this early in the season. I'm getting nervous Because what was the theme of the Nuggets last year? In the playoffs, they were just quietly doing their thing, yeah, and then no one's talking Nugs dude, no one's talking Joker. We're talking all these other teams.

Coach Murph:

Stephanie Sixers dude. Yeah, we know, we know what the Nuggets they the spending championship. I don't care, they can't be quite, they quietly do their thing. Yes, but they already won one. It's not going to be a surprise. It's not all right, I'm not worried about that. It's going to be. There's more this year Firepower coming out them this year. But they have the team dude and your boy Typh. He says did you hear what he said? I was like easy, I think he's in Tim trying to get us going. Tim, who's that? It's called Ty who's tonight?

Podcast Paul:

You shout out there Fever.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, tim, our man, tim, your man, he goes. It's the best starting five ever assembled. I'm like, yes, I'm like, get out of here, wow.

Podcast Paul:

He's on their job right now. I'm like no, I don't agree with that, but I think he's just, he's a big Laker fan too, because he used to cover the Lakers, so he's going to go heavy on LA.

Coach Murph:

So the end, and you see what in these numbers yesterday. It's insane.

Podcast Paul:

Like how about not talking about the sixers? Another 50 piece.

Coach Murph:

Well, and be that 38 and 14. Oh, two nights ago, sorry.

Podcast Paul:

Yeah.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, and Matt, but Tyries had 30. They have their both scoring 30 points a game. He scored 30, and Maxi and beat at 38. They're a problem, dude, oh they have to buy it.

Podcast Paul:

Oh no, I just went back in.

Coach Murph:

So we don't talk like there's a lot going on, man, it's a lot going on, it's fun.

Podcast Paul:

So for the back to the green.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Podcast Paul:

This is going to be a tough stretch for them, dude, because pretty soon they're heading out west. I already mentioned they're going to be in I think that's where it ends LA for Christmas, but they're going to be out west. I don't know. When is that road trip start? Is it start? I guess there's a start Monday. No, they're playing Cleveland on Tuesday. Nope, is that in Boston? Yeah, that's at home and then hold on. This is real time, but we got to get. This is important. Ooh, wednesday, the 13th Acer's Bucks rematch. I'm actually excited about that.

Speaker 3:

That's a little rivalry right now.

Podcast Paul:

How dare you Humble, humble young buck, humble like dude, you haven't you be humble. What have you done? What have you done, dame Lillard?

Coach Murph:

They haven't even started clicking it, just wait, and they are playing better. Actually, the know who else is playing better clippers. The clippers are looking better Quiet just drop.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, hold on, here's another one coming up Friday, the 15th. So in a week we're gonna be playing the mighty magic in Boston Circle.

Podcast Paul:

your calendar for that one Wagner's there on the 15th down and then after that, after that on Sunday, because when it starts, oh no, we play him back to back. We're playing him on the 15th, and then this and this well, that's a big stretch right there, two games, one of those you know how they did that last year too. There's a little mini series or whatever, nope. And then, and then after that on, I think, is when they go Yep, and then after that they're on the road. Dude, they're playing the Warriors on the 19th and it's all West Coast from there. No, so I don't usually like to do this because it's a monthly pod, but it's been so exciting with. This is in season tournament. We got to get on when we get on.

Speaker 3:

We got on, we got to get on.

Podcast Paul:

After the Lakers Celtics dude, Come on.

Coach Murph:

It's Christmas pod for the kids, for the folks and the kids, it's a holiday pod. Yeah, we got to do Mary Mary, because there's gonna be a lot.

Podcast Paul:

I mean, we're here for the N season tournament championship. We just did that whole thing.

Coach Murph:

This has been exciting all I want for Christmas is a J2M's pod. Oh, there you go so and this.

Podcast Paul:

There's so much coming up for the NBA in the next couple of weeks that when we get on for that Christmas pod Wait who knows where things are at. But as long as there's a healthy thing, it'll be just good because we're number one. We're staying number one as long as there's a healthy zing, everybody's all zingy inside. Oh, it's good.

Coach Murph:

It's good. But yeah, man, that's, he didn't. He was dominant at the beginning of that game. Just push, so yeah. So what else we got, buddy? I mean, I got a couple of prizes for you. You could go, you take a takeover, coach, take.

Podcast Paul:

Well, he was calling minutes the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Coach Murph:

Before we get well, I just I let the cat out the bag. So it's the Minnesota Timberwolves. Oh yeah, it's almost like an extravaganza. It's just so exciting. The intern just got me going like I'm just gonna go crazy with the quizzes like Paul. The reason why is because he's the prediction Paul. He said my, he was like my Minnesota Timberwolves. All right, so let's see what you know about my Minnesota.

Podcast Paul:

Timberwolves. We gotta get the Pacers fan and Timberwolves fan on soon, man, absolutely Brent. Well, brent, brent, come back on. I think we gotta get Brent back.

Coach Murph:

I remember you guys talking about bird in all that, that great.

Podcast Paul:

I'll tell you what station? If the Pacers end up winning tonight, I'm doing another shout out to Brent. Brent, if you're listening, I I did my prediction, so it's probably not gonna happen, but if it does, you getting on here, buddy. All right, happy belated birthday there bird.

Coach Murph:

Oh yeah, Sam house or happy birthday. Well, I bring it up, larry, because he's from French, like in Indiana, of course, and then he coached them. And then you guys, you got right. You guys are that that great one podcast like 2020, right, you and Brent, so he's coming back on Brent. I hope you're listening. You're back on that's who. Timberwolves, sorry, what year quiz begins now, where they founded this expansion team 1994, 1989? Wow, obviously. Oh, it was probably.

Coach Murph:

Miami, in Minnesota, then in what year, with the acquisition of who Made the team happen? Come on, you know the guy, the ticket boom, greenlaw, green law, green law, green law. The original kid what, what? Yeah, yeah, literally that's one of his nicknames Dubs a kid the big ticket. We love him, man. When Paul and I got the best birthday present a birthday Christmas present I ever got a Paul and I was tickets to the 2008 on the.

Podcast Paul:

Still see him beating his chest, pointing out to the rafters.

Coach Murph:

See in the big three the year, they won it all. And his intensity and energy it's just like Unbelievable fills are the whole ring.

Podcast Paul:

I've not he literally, before the game, would beat his chest and point to the rafters. She's telling us it was awesome and they did so, man, we need that.

Coach Murph:

That's what he brings the most. It's just his passions, energy, his fire, dude You've on the show. It's just the way he is. He's okay, crazy madman, a good way. So what year was that In the?

Podcast Paul:

draft wait when the when the ticket was great class that year.

Coach Murph:

Think about this.

Podcast Paul:

Three seconds 2004. Oh no, when he got drafted bro, no, no, no, no, no, because he was already old in 2000.

Coach Murph:

Oh yeah, go back in time. Yeah, I don't even know what dates are to what. Sorry, it's been a long pod. There's been a lot of quizzes.

Podcast Paul:

Come on 90s dude, was he not? Oh yeah, 96 95.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's not so. Just that, the font, the franchise history from 89 to 95. There's a team creation in early years. You know we had the KG on that team in the 1995 to 2007. We called the Kevin Garnett era, right, do you remember? Can you name just one, one teammate that was on his team? Stefan Marbury boom, there you go, let's go. Starberry remember starberry. I loved him. He went to Japan or to sell.

Podcast Paul:

Yeah, our assistant coaches.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, there we go. Yeah, who was the head coach in 95?

Podcast Paul:

One no, if you get no no, I could see the guy's face. I don't, I don't. I think he's got his punchable face. I Don't know his name, no, so some you know flip.

Coach Murph:

Saunders. Yes, flip Saunders. I was out here taking out.

Podcast Paul:

Kevin, yes, yes, kevin.

Coach Murph:

Mikhail's buddy. Good for you, but yeah him and mom.

Podcast Paul:

My manager general manager was Kevin Mikhail.

Coach Murph:

That I do know yeah, in 98 he had a huge. The back days is 98 and this is a while ago to your 25 years ago. Happy 25 year anniversary for getting a huge contract. Six years kg. Kevin got a hundred and twenty six million dollars. That's like who's got who's got the biggest contract? Right Extension right now.

Podcast Paul:

Well, we know, jalen, I can't dribble brown.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, but we're gonna give him a lot. We're not gonna do this. I know I know why, though I decided this right now man because the spirit of the pods, real in our spirit, affects everything. You're our energy right.

Podcast Paul:

This year right.

Coach Murph:

We're only as good as our last link game, game link. We only goes our last game and they played well that foul. I don't like the two technical. Second technical you're inject like, you're out like what it's like he's just, it's not gonna change.

Podcast Paul:

He's loose with the ball.

Speaker 3:

Yes, I like the flopping we got to accept the facts and it's okay.

Podcast Paul:

You live and die because guess what? How many plays you see with this guy when he's loose with the ball, he loses it and then he dunks on you, so usually gets it back and dunks. So what are we complaining about?

Coach Murph:

Yeah, so he's like, but he, they can clean this up and we're gonna move forward. Seven turnovers last game, they're gonna clean it up. Jb's I'm calling JB the body snatchers are to switch, switch gears on the quiz. But JB the body snatchers, he's catching bodies this year. Yeah, he's a beast. Back to the quiz. We'll finish it up in the post, the post garnet air area. There was another era, post 2010, 2014. What man was that era called after? Named after? After after garnet? He was. He's currently on. I'll see if I can give you a hint. No, no, no, no, no. Hints go, no, hints. 10 to 14 July 2010, there was a heat board traded.

Podcast Paul:

Oh, the Chris boss error, I have no idea.

Coach Murph:

Coach Murph:

Anyway. So we're getting that head rattled, that brain, a little bit. So there's a one more little thing about the Minnesota, and I will stop but the, I'm looking for another the arrival of guess who in 2020 current.

Podcast Paul:

Well, there we go, the ant man, the arrival of ants. Well, no, but before the ant man. And we not loving Carl Anthony Towns, is he? Yeah, I was, but I skipped like him or no?

Coach Murph:

Yeah, he's a player.

Podcast Paul:

I like he's all right.

Coach Murph:

He's all right, but it's no ant man, he's no ant man. So now, yeah, so that's one of just go, the rival of ant man. Paul's prediction what and what year? Well, you know, is traded. I Do you know what? The do you know?

Podcast Paul:

Oh, so he was part of Halliburton's class.

Coach Murph:

You know, you already said Carl Anthony Towns like wait, wait, wait was.

Podcast Paul:

Was Anthony Edwards part of Tyrese Halliburton's draft class? You?

Speaker 3:

said 20, 20.

Coach Murph:

I said 20 20. I know, I know. On February 20, 26 Fab 6 2020, the Timberlose traded Andrew. Andrew Wiggins is to the to the Warriors for towns Longtime friend, d'angelo Russell. At the season's end, the Timberlose got the first pick in the 2020 NBA draft. With that pick.

Coach Murph:

Him and James browner boys. Yeah, and that's basically the the Timberlose big three Malik Beasley, patrick, beverly Beverly. They got there's Jared. Jared Vanderbilt 22. We'll just stop there, I keep. No, it's good man, I like it, but yeah.

Podcast Paul:

I will say this before we start winding down this go back, go back, rudy, dude Rudy, yeah, yeah, yeah. No they're gonna be there. They're gonna be there for the long haul. I. This is the journey to june. I don't know if they're gonna make it all the way to june, but they certainly are gonna be deep into april and may. I think yeah. But as we wrap up this pod, we've done a lot of talking here, a lot of NBA, a lot of in-season.

Coach Murph:

A lot of stuff coming out, but this.

Podcast Paul:

We did this whole pod without talking about our guy victor. It's over.

Coach Murph:

No deep came the youngest player to score 20 points in 20 games. They stink, it's over, they're terrible. What are they three? They have three. They're at the bottom of the barrel in the west, but he is excited. Like we said, though, you have to build a team around him. He has nothing. Obviously, no big deal. I do want to finish up. It's not really a quiz.

Podcast Paul:

No, we can't do another one, why not?

Coach Murph:

Just get crazy and just finish it up. We know why I'm doing it, because there's been so many of them. He had his first against us, first what mr Halliburton had against us in his career he had his first that's right. It's a triple double quiz to end the pod. Okay, all-time leaders. Regular season triple doubles. Can you? There's a top 10? Can you name five out of the 10? Triple doubles of all time in the regular season the leaders top 10 of all time of all time.

Podcast Paul:

Yeah, oh, that's pretty easy. Okay, I'm gonna put you five.

Coach Murph:

I say get a five out of 10. If you get, let's see we can go. Who's number one of all time? Nicola Jokic. He's number four. Ding, ding, ding, dingo. Number four on the list. This is a cool quiz. I'll finish with this. Lebron James and ding, ding, ding.

Podcast Paul:

I haven't done a. That was a weird one, judges.

Coach Murph:

What was that all about?

Podcast Paul:

So I guess ding ding ding two.

Coach Murph:

That's not. He was not he's not.

Podcast Paul:

What are we doing? Just triple doubles in history, or one without turnovers?

Coach Murph:

all-time leaders in regular season.

Podcast Paul:

The history it's hit all time okay, uh, but there's, and then no turnovers with the triple double. No, no, no, no, no that line, no, no, no no, kidding me, that's all right, so I just gave you those two.

Coach Murph:

you didn't and that was not, that was four.

Podcast Paul:

Oscar, oscar Joker, oscar Robinson.

Coach Murph:

Bam ding, ding ding. Number two let's go podcast Paul magic Johnson. Ding, ding, ding. Number three, my brother.

Podcast Paul:

So what is that?

Coach Murph:

that's four right two, three, four and five. I just need one more to listen oscar's to Magic Johnson. Three joker four, king five.

Podcast Paul:

I just need number one spot.

Coach Murph:

You're missing the one spot. Yeah, I said that you need, you're gonna do it. You need who's number one of all time, and then you need six, seven, eight, nine, ten on the list. Oh, oh, the all time. Yeah, you, you've got. You're missing number one. And then the six through ten.

Podcast Paul:

I mean I want to throw this name out there but I'm not feeling confident of all time the legend Larry bird.

Coach Murph:

Ding, ding ding. Ten Number ten opposites on. Doesn't matter, you got it. Legend's in there.

Podcast Paul:

We're going top. He's number one. Enough for us, I couldn't. And you add his playoff triple double. All right, yes, I bet you, yes.

Coach Murph:

If we did triple doubles in the playoffs, I bet you, I bet she's got more than most people.

Podcast Paul:

Okay, so let me think about this is all time. Current player.

Coach Murph:

Oh, a current player is on the list number one is on the list, wow, and there's a couple card current players on the list. There's one, two, three and you have one two are in player on the list is on is number one in history.

Podcast Paul:

You should know this in history. Hold on, I'm done, I know history, he's still number one.

Coach Murph:

Come on, the folks are getting tired, coach, I know, I, I even got this the coach needs to go dude.

Podcast Paul:

Let me, let me think about this. Shoot, if you're still listening.

Speaker 3:

Coach Murph:

We appreciate you guys out there. Oh, man share.

Podcast Paul:

I guess I gotta, I gotta give it up, man, I did, my brain is done Good number one, russell Westbrook Of all time.

Coach Murph:

Oh, he says. Oh, you don't like Westbrook, I do, and he's, he's playing a little bit better. Back to the Clippers. They play all time, all time he was wow. He crushed it with KD.

Speaker 3:

Wow.

Coach Murph:

Don't you remember that he was a mr Triple double all season. That's that's remember that that one year was a couple years ago, was it? Yes, he didn't respect he got. All he did was just rip triple.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, he doesn't give him the respect he deserves.

Coach Murph:

Yeah, you're right, one of all time You're right with a hundred and ninety eight Austria's got a hundred and eighty one.

Podcast Paul:

That's a tough one to end on, though, because I'm sorry the Clippers they stink.

Coach Murph:

I know, but they're doing, they're playing better, they're dude, they're, I'm telling you, harden, just finding their way. So what don't count them out? Yet I won't, I won't. Jason kid, at number six, wilt Chamberlain. At number seven, james Harden there's the connection, mr Triple doubles. And number eight in Luca at number nine. So you got one, two, three, four, five.

Podcast Paul:

We heard what Charles said. We go back to James Harden. You heard what Charles Barkley said. I thought this was funny. He's like oh, did you hear? Did you hear alert, alert, woesh, woesh bomb, woesh bomb, oh he's hard in. He wants to be traded to the Pacers because they're good now.

Coach Murph:

Oh yeah, just hard, and he'll stay there. I know he's but he honestly had a better game last game and, like they're, the Pacers will stink once they get him, because that's what he does.
