The WOW Podcast with Jude Kelly
Featuring Caroline Criado Perez, Sabeena Akhtar and Rasha Nahas
Caroline Criado Perez's award-winning book Invisible Women exposes the world's gender data bias - from crash test dummies to PPE, the world has largely been designed for and by men with sometimes fatal consequences. In this episode, listen to a short extract from Caroline's event at 2020's London WOW Festival, before Jude Kelly catches up with Caroline during lockdown to see what impact Covid-19 has had on the data gap.
Plus WOW's Programmer, writer and editor Sabeena Akhtar reads an extract from Cut from the Same Cloth, her forthcoming anthology of essays by British Muslim women. And there's a performance from our most recent festival, WOW Global 24, from Palestinian guitarist and singer Rasha Nahas.
The WOW Podcast is created by The WOW Foundation, which exists to build, convene and sustain a global movement that believes a gender equal world is desirable, possible and urgently required. Find out more at thewowfoundation.com
