The Retirement of the Sausage (Red Sox Series Recap, 5/3-5/5)
After a marvelous two-week run, the Minnesota Twins' winning streak ends at 12 games with a defeat to the visiting Boston Red Sox. But it was another series win, the team's fourth in a row, and so there is still optimism for Dan and Hoges as they discuss the three games with Boston. "Pablo Day" was very confusing for both Dan and Hoges, who thought it was more than just one specific day. They have plenty of criticism for manager Rocco Baldelli's use of pinch hitting, especially when the players coming in are Manny Margot and Kyle Farmer. They also discuss the injury to Byron Buxton and whether the Twins need to be setting the stage for a new centerfielder next season, just in case, and they wonder whether the sausage sponsorship should come from a place a little bit closer to home. Thanks for listening, and go Twins!
