Speaker 1:

Thank you, cheers to you on this beautiful Friday. Hey, I wanted to show you this in case you haven't been following along on other episodes of Stories Inside the man Cave podcast. Check out this mug, excuse me. Welcome to our family. You are in for a real treat. This is the mug gifted to me by my maternal side of my biological family. Just met them, but today I recorded this episode at 6 am and I scheduled it to drop live stream around about 10 o'clock hour. Thank you, I had it for 1045 when you're watching it right now.

Speaker 1:

But you know, first off, before we get going here, I definitely want to give a shout out to these guys right here Honest Plumbing and Air, new ownership group, but same great name, different name. It went from Honest AC and Plumbing to Honest Plumbing and Air. Same great name or, excuse me, same great service. Let's start that over. Three, two, one, me. Same great service. We'll start that over Three, two, one, three, two and one, three, two and one, three, two and one, three, two, one, three, two, one. Before we get moving with this short episode of Coffee with Clinch, I want to give a shout-out to these guys Honest Plumbing and Air. They had a new ownership group come in last year and it's a different name. It went from Honest AC and Plumbing to Honest Plumbing and Air. But different name, same great service and quality where a handshake still means something. They're based out of Hutto and right now is a good time and hopefully you don't have to use that on your hvac unit, but we are at that hot time of year. We're not even at the hottest time of the year. Be sure to like and follow us all the stories inside the man cave platforms, that being twitter, slash x, facebook, youtube, tiktok and the gram, something that I've thought about.

Speaker 1:

I'm always learning something through people, through conversations, whether it be in my professional career life, personal life and just out and about at groups, at dinners, with people just listening and learning. You find out a lot. You find out a lot and you realize that you know what I have a lot to learn. I'm always looking to improve myself. I have been for quite some time.

Speaker 1:

But communication with a purpose is, you know and that was brought up in a conversation with a buddy of mine the other day with at lunch, because I have heard this a lot Communicate with a purpose. So what I'm getting at is, I think that we all, in this era time frame we're in, we'd rather text, we'd rather avoid a subject, whether it be in your career space, personal relationships, anything that involves others. If you avoid a topic or sugarcoat it or simply don't communicate well, there leaves a lot to be determined on our brains. You probably can relate to this. There's some subjects that I don't want to address, but I've learned, especially in my career and my personal relationships period and even in romantic relationships be direct, be direct and upfront, show them who you are, and what I mean by that. Show them who you are as far as dignity, respect and also being direct leaves no gray area, and then it's never personal. I think if someone asks you for the truth or something like that and you don't like it, well, the truth or something like that and you don't like it, well, that's on us who react in a negative way. And communicate with a purpose means your purpose is the goal, to communicate directly what your intentions are and what you intend to not get out of it, but the goal, the end goal, and what you intend to not get out of it, but the goal, the end goal. Communicate and just be direct, black and white, leave emotions out of it. So I've learned that that has helped me. But since it came up again for the third time in probably four months for me, I thought maybe you might want to hear this and maybe you have learned that, shooter, you can educate me on how to communicate better with a purpose, because I do think in business it's essential. We're in a lot of digital communication right now. We're on the go. Everything is so quick, moves quickly. But I also had it brought up by an individual, one of my clients, that I talked to communication from their clients then, to what their needs are and what my role would be to help them. That's it, and so I ask questions. You know how that goes Ask questions and you get to the end goal Communicate with a purpose.

Speaker 1:

Before I dip out of here for this episode of Coffee with Clinch, sports related. I know my podcast here is mainly sports centric, but the College World Series in Omaha. There are four teams from the Southeastern Conference and four teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference, one of which being Texas A&M, the lone representative from the great state of Texas. There's a lot of speculation that when Texas this is over, the University of Texas may have a new baseball coach. I'm friends with Coach Pierce at Texas and I respect him. But there's so many rumors that are tied to the College World Series the ending of it or ending of certain teams when they are eliminated or when their season ends that one of the coaches in this College World Series field may be the next head coach at UT. Now, that just may be rumors and I have no opinion on it and I stay away from rumors. I try to, but that's where we are in society. We thrive on rumors and I try to avoid it. But don't look at the College World Series for that.

Speaker 1:

If you want to be entertained and see perhaps the greatest show on dirt, watch these games. This is college. Baseball is phenomenal. It is phenomenal to watch eight teams double elimination tournament. A great city. I had so much fun in my two times I've been to Omaha great people.

Speaker 1:

Although it is at a new stadium downtown, the Schwab Rosenblatt Stadium will forever be special to my heart and to so many others, especially to a lot of Texas Longhorn baseball fans, because UT's been to the College World Series the most times I believe at 38. So Omaha has a lot of memories, a lot of moments that are special and a lot of teams like Miami, arkansas, lsu, usc, power of old, power of way back Watch those games. It is special. I recently talked to an assistant coach of one of the teams at the College World Series and you could hear the players in the background and you know they're at the ultimate, biggest stage, the mecca of college baseball. Watch it. It's one of the last few great things of sports that really represent America. It's beautiful and I can't wait to go back because I've only been to the new stadium as a media member back in those days. I have not been to the new stadium downtown as a fan. Hey, have yourselves an excellent, excellent weekend. Enjoy the heat and cheers to you. We'll see you next time you.
