The miracles of scripture are not for putting on a show. Miracles of scripture are not for great stories to tell the kids. The miracles of scripture are to remind you that God can do whatever He wishes to do. They are really about His sovereignty, and they are about His love for His children, to whom He shows mercy. It's about His glory, because He lost you and He wants you back. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get you back. (T. Jupp)
When God’s glory is revealed—either in grand and glorious ways, or in the unassuming ways that are often His habit—it’s always to call people to believe and trust in Him. It is for His glory and our good.
