"E-filing" is short for 'electronic filing' of legal documents with the Cook County (Illinois) Clerk of Circuit Court. It's now required, unless you obtain a waiver.
But there's hope: E-filing can be done from the comfort of home, with just a computer, an internet connection and a credit or debit card.
