Veterans Corner Radio focuses on what those who have served in the military, and their families need to know to maximize the services and benefits due to them. VA has a new program for cancer treatment called Close To Me.Its goal is to provide many of the treatments not only at the main hospitals but to utilize space in Primary Care Centers. Listen in and hear how this program might help you.
Jenna Shields, National Oncology Program Pharmacy Manager announced another new service that will make the VA more user-friendly and add to the ease of receiving treatments was announced this week. The VA has opened a program called Close To Me. This program will provide infusion services at many new facilities bringing them closer to the patient. Like any big organization, it will take time to roll this program out but we suggest you contact your VA oncology department if it will be offered locally.
