Fate of the Union (Conservative Politics & True Crime)

Episode 20 - Presidential Taste Making and COVID In Sports

Franklin

In this week's episode of Fate of the Union, Franklin discusses the differences in response to the Jacob Blake shooting from Vice President Biden and President Trump.  While Biden has emoted about Blake's victim status and acted as a sort of cheerleader for Blake, Trump has been much more even keeled.  The latter response goes a long way in the way Americans view these cases in particular, and the justice system in general.

Next, we cover how Minnesota Vikings's quarterback Kirk Cousins got in hot water for simply saying that he doesn't feel threatened by the coronavirus, but will nevertheless wear a mask out of concern for others.  While the sports media dolts tried to lambast Cousins, his statements have been easily the most reasonable and practical of any athletes regarding the pandemic as it related to their own personal circumstances.
