Run Healthy is a book dedicated to injuries. The authors tell runners about the different tissues in the body and how they respond to stress and healing, areas of the body to pay attention to so that you can prevent injury, common injuries that runners get and what the issues commonly are, and components of healthy training.
The book is divided into 4 parts:

  1. The runner’s body
  2. Body regions
  3. Common conditions
  4. Healthy training

Some common injuries mentioned in the “common conditions” section are:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendinitis
  • Shin splints
  • Hamstring tendinitis and tendinopathy
  • IT band syndrome
