Ep. 57 - Rebuilding Your Self-Concept
Jul 13, 2022 Season 1 Episode 57

What words would you use to describe yourself? How do you see yourself?

Our self-concept, or the way we perceive ourselves, has a direct impact on how we feel about ourselves.

When we're able to acknowledge all parts of us -- the positive and not-so-positive, our strengths and the parts of us we'd like to improve -- we feel more comfortable in our skin. We accept, even embrace, who we are in the moment while simultaneously holding space for growth.

When we can exist in this duality, we give ourselves grace and freedom to have the full human experience.  We're able to quiet/reassure the part of us that may still wonder if we need to be more perfect to be more worthy, deserving, and whole.

But who are we? Do we actually know? Most of us spend more time worrying about who or what we aren't, that we don't actually know who or what we are.

That's what Episode 57 is about. In this episode, I share an exercise to help you bring awareness to who you already are, as well as an exercise to help you explore and own the person you are becoming, with questions & steps to help you bridge that gap.
