SITA Legends 1: Rose Wood
Buffy and Heaven welcome artist, activist and all round outrager Rose Wood, a child of the civil rights era with a life story that includes rooming in the Chelsea Hotel with Stormé DeLarverie – who threw the first punch at the Stonewall Riot, frequenting Studio 54, CBGBs and Crisco Disco in the 1970s, stripping in New York in the 1980s, sharing a bill with Dirty Martini, creating the darkest S&M based protest performance pieces you’ll ever see and having Buffy insert butt plugs into her live on stage at the Box. It’s a long story, an intense episode and essential listening.
