Pain Management....What Pain Management ?!
Dec 02, 2020 Season 1 Episode 8
Jenny Watts

In this episode I discuss my thoughts, feelings and personal journey with this jazzy thing called pain management and trust me when i say i embarrassingly do not hold back !. I share my experience of what pain management so far on my being and becoming disabled journey has brought to me. I highlight what being  addicted to a very highly addictive prescribed pain medication and having to withdraw from them twice was like. I even talk about  my time jumping on the cannabis oil hype in the hopes that it would help with pain and lets not forget the miracle it could preform and have it potentially cure me. All of which i explain how it effected me and my life living alongside my disability and how it undoubtedly was a big factor towards me hitting that lovely destination i like to call, breakdown central !.

But what's that saying, you cant keep a good girl down for long ?!... well from the point of breakdown central to now doing a complete 360 and turning my life around and finally gathering the knowledge i needed regarding pain management from the start. I have created this episode to help and advise to you all what i have learnt along the way and insight to be wary of to hopefully help you navigate the management of pain living alongside your disability or illness in your life today.
I really feel like both pain management and trauma are the frontiers of this being and becoming disabled journey. I believe that if they are correctly navigated and dealt with in a healthy way then you will go from strength to strength and undoubtedly create an amazing life for yourself and no disability or illness will get in the way of that being achieved. However get it wrong and if the support isn't there then the results can be catastrophic and then some !

If there is anyone who would like any help or advice regarding anything discussed within this episode or would like to share their own personal experience or advice and be involved in the NKD community in anyway.
