Jenny Watts

In this episode i delve into discussing the word that on becoming disabled your whole life seems mapped out by and revolves around and that's Diagnosis.  Now the topic of diagnosis beyond fascinates me and i quite honestly have many conflicting thoughts upon the matter as you are about to hear. Through my own personal journey in this episode i talk about what its like to have your body completely fall apart and not to be given a full diagnosis or answers, yet to still be gifted with the title of disabled anyway. Controversially the journey i have been on regarding diagnosis in my life has made me question whether being given a full diagnosis is a good or bad thing upon becoming disabled and trying to navigate this new life for yourself ?. I want to discuss being miss diagnosed and having further harm cause to you and your body by receiving wrong diagnosis. The swamp of unanswerable questions and the searching we ourselves can get wrapped in and whether they are helping to aid us and this new life or tarnishing it ?!.
But if there is one thing that i am certain of is that you can define your own future and who you are today regardless of what is told to you and what diagnosis you receive. Because if i would of wholeheartedly believed what was told to me and not gone off my instincts of what i believed was possible i wouldn't have legs right now. A piece of paper is just a piece of paper, a diagnosis is just a diagnosis, the branding of disabled is just the branding of a word. But what is possible and what can be accomplished, now that's decided by you !.
