Jeff Burkhart is an award-winning journalist and an award-winning bartender. His popular Barfly column has been voted best column in California twice, in 2014 and 2021. He himself has been voted “best bartender” seven times by the readers of three different publications.

Profiles of Jeff have appeared in Capture Magazine, The Tasting Panel and American Way, and he has appeared on both America’s Test Kitchen with Chris Kimball and with Ronn Owens on KGO radio. Jeff has also participated in bartending events with everyone from Sammy Hagar to Tyler Florence and contributed spirits/ historical features to magazines such as New York’s Steppin’ Out, San Francisco Magazine, and National Geographic Assignment.
