My cycling journey began in 1987 racing and riding in the NorCal cycling scene. I raced in the competitive Category 1,2 field from 1990 to 1992, capturing 3rd in the 1991 District Criterium Championships. I spent the next decade honing my craft in the retail side of the bicycle industry. In 2002 my wife and I decided to open Eden Bicycles in the location I worked at in High School.

My passion for cycling began in 1999 when I did the California AIDS Ride from SF to LA.  Charity rides and friendly group rides became 4 day a week training rides and amateur racing. And while I tried to talk myself out of it, my love of everything bikes led to the opening of 6Fifteen Cyclery. That is how I met Mike. He started as my Giant Rep. and ended up as one of my closest friends. But before I get too mushy, I’ll move on. Sadly, I had to close 6Fifteen, but a lot of good came out of those 6 years. I'm less obsessed with racing and more about getting more people on bikes, encouraging riders of all abilities, and using the bike to support charities such as: the MS Society, Best Buddies, the Pete Zucker Foundation and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I call it ride4Good. Ride for your mental & physical health, to support a charitable cause, to get groceries or for fun. It doesn’t matter, just ride. I hope through these podcasts my passion is contagious.

I've been in the bike industry for over 40 years and have worked retail shops and then on the road as a Sales Rep for brands like Merlin, Cannondale, GT, and for the last 20 plus years I have been with Giant Bicycles. Cycling to me is not just a job it is a way of life. I try to ride everyday, it doesn't always work out but that is the goal. Since starting the podcast it has been so much fun bringing all of the interesting people from the industry on to shine a light on them and what their given role is within the industry.  Thank you all for your support and we will continue to bring the best cycling content we can to you.
