Garen Daly has been in the Boston film scene for nearly five decades. His career started as a cinema manager at the legendary Orson Welles Cinema. He revived such places as the Somerville Theatre and the Dedham Community Theatre. He is an award winning programmer/consultant who continues to produce the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival, the longest genre festival in the country.  

His entertainment roots stretch back 100 years to his  opera singing Vaudevillian grandparents.  His critical and analytical side saw him comment on films on TV, radio,  NPR and occasionally write for such publications as Yankee Magazine. 

His current dog, Paella, makes him laugh, a lot.
