Jane is a Vancouver-born, Toronto-based, musician, songwriter, graphic artist, and podcaster.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at UBC, Jane switched gears to embrace her early childhood love, music. In the early 90s, she attended the Vancouver Community College Jazz Program with a focus on Contemporary Piano, and began playing in bands, most notably the 6-piece pop group Spygirl which she co-founded with her friend Koralee Tonack. Jane started her current indie pop band The Real Shade (formerly Shade) in 2006, after moving from Vancouver to Toronto.

Jane began podcasting in 2022, when the COVID limited in-person music events. The podcast is now in its 3rd season.

Tim Vesely is a founding member of the legendary Toronto Art Rock band Rheostatics. He has also released 2 critically-acclaimed albums with his alter-ego outfit The Violet Archers.

Tim is the House Engineer at The Woodshed Studio, Music Buddy's "home base". Tim also composes and produces music for film and television.
