  • Hello dear friend, welcome to a God night's sleep the podcast. Thank you for being here. I'd like to begin by giving a shout out to one of our listeners, @purelytina who left a comment on apple podcasts and inspired tonight's episode. I quote: "
I had to write this to plead that this podcast never comes to an end. It helps me sleep better and feel safe in God's
presence. Thank you for the effort and work put into the episodes. Please continue making them! They're amazing."
     "
I appreciate you @purelytina, thank you for your encouragement. Comments like this give me hope and strength to continue. Please keep the comments coming and i would love to read them out in the next episodes.

Dear friend, Are you going through something that feels impossible, feels too hard to do, like moving a mountain?  I can still remember the period in my life when I had to undergo massive recovery from a surgery.

Having gone through that and months of physical therapy, I feel in awe at how at how far I've gone. From having an arm sling and eating with only one hand, to reaching things from high cabinets. From putting ice compresses 3x a day to alleviate pain, to carrying my body weight on a plank for minutes.

What I know for sure is that this were only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus' healing. Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Have you also gone through something that tested your spirit and own strength? Let's take this time to thank your bodies for carrying you successfully through that difficult time.

Lie down in whatever position is most comfortable to you, whether that's on your back, your side or you stomach. Just get cozy. Wrap your arms around yourself. Let them rest easily on your body for a few moments, then give yourself a little squeeze. Think about how it feels to be in your body right now. Now, quietly whisper to yourself, Thank you for your carrying me through the good and  hard times. Now take a break, you can relax. Repeat squeezing and thanking yourself, 5x more at your own pace. < add space>

Continue to allow your muscles to ease up and your body to rest. At this point, you may let your arms rest on your belly or at your sides, whichever you prefer.

Let's now turn to scripture for more encouragement and strength
