Lt. Chris Gay

Lt. Chris Gay currently works as a Firefighter/Paramedic in Colorado. Chris originally started with EMS in Minnesota in 2004 working as an EMT. In 2013, he moved to Colorado and began working as a Firefighter. His passion for teaching others grew as the years passed.


Chris holds several certifications in many arenas such as National Registry Paramedic, State of Colorado Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Instructor I, Fire Proctor and 1403 Live Fire Instructor, as well as being a NWCG Wildland firefighter and FAA UAS pilot.


Outside of the Fire service, Chris has a strong interest in firearm safety and has been a NRA certified firearm instructor for the past 10 years for both civilians and law enforcement alike. Chris’s hobbies include keeping exotic saltwater fish, corals and invertebrates as well as breeding exotic snakes. He spends his free time mining for minerals such as Gold and Aquamarine in different regions of Colorado.
