The Wonders of Wellbeing Podcast

The Science of Wellbeing with Amy Green

Episode 43

There is so much to be said about wellbeing and culture, yet it is hard to know what to do. In a time where workloads are increasing, burnout is on the rise, and we look for ways to be more flexible and to support staff, we are often left to our own devices to try and make sense of what is needed and how we can support ourselves and others. The same can be said for our own wellbeing; we know it matters, but finding what works, prioritising time, and putting this into practice is easier said than done.

In this episode, I have the pleasure of chatting with Amy Green, the Founder of The Wellness Strategy. Amy is a published author, speaker, facilitator and coach with a background in teaching, leadership and positive psychology. As the Founder of The Wellness Strategy, Amy is able to support schools, businesses and organisations to improve wellbeing, productivity, engagement, and culture. Her vision is to have schools across the globe make data-informed decisions that support teacher and student wellbeing whilst building collective teacher efficacy and student self-efficacy.

Amy and I discuss:

  • What teacher wellbeing is and how it looks in a school setting
  • The difference between subjective wellbeing and psychological wellbeing
  • Why we should be prioritising teacher wellbeing and where have we got it wrong
  • The connection between self efficacy and collective efficacy
  • And much more!

Thank you for coming on this journey to create a better future for our life long learners!
