 Ah, the World Wide Web! The source of all kinds of things from cat videos to other useless garbage. And yet it is also a goldmine of information both good and bad. The spread of mis- and disinformation makes it hard for people to decide what to think, especially in the wake of violent attacks. There are those who will deliberately sort lies to get the attention and reaction they are seeking, often leading to further retribution violence. What can states do to minimise this possibility without compromising investigations and trials down the road? Surprisingly, quite a bit.
