The army regularly issues claims that a dozen are dead here, ten there in an airstrike, the list goes on and on. If all these are true, and independent verification is next to impossible, then Al Shabaab is finally on the cusp of defeat after two decades of terrorist activity in Somalia and the surrounding area.
