 In its 2024 report The Global Terrorism Index, the Institute for Economics and Peace noted that for the first time an African country, Burkina Faso, took top spot in terrorist attacks. This came as a surprise to many who had become accustomed to nations in the Middle East or Asia as the world's worst places for these acts. But it demonstrated a trend that has been building momentum for years. What does Africa have to look forward to in 2025? Borealis talks once again with an Africa specialist Charlie Werb.
